I think I learned something I should've learned much younger. When Splinter mentions "Fair fight" He goes on to say seek victory not fairness. At first I thought it hypocritical of him when he speaks of honor and all that. But then I realized in competition, No one likes the guy who is willing to do anything to win but everyone respects the guy who does everything to win. In life or death scenario honor rarely matters usually until the end. But a friendly competition need not be so cut throat.

I now remembered a quote by the bad guy from the Mondo Gecko's debut episode in the Fred Wolf series:
"Never let a boy do a man's job." I mean, it's impossible to disagree with such a statement, right. |

I learned about the Earth’s core. When the Technodrome was stuck underground near the lava bed in season 3 it fascinated me to know all this stuff was under the Earth deep underground.
The original cartoon was probably a hidden educational show and we just didn’t realize it |

I was also fascinated by the Technodrome’s location throughout the series, most notably at the bottom of the ocean and on the asteroid.

Just wanted to add that I probably first learnt about meditation from Splinter in the episodes Return of the Technodrome and Divide and Conquer.

I think the biggest thing I learned was self-confidence and self-reliance. Pretty important for an only child who was often left home alone all day in the summer, or spent long hours wandering in the woods alone on camping trips, while everyone else was out riding motorcycles or fishing.
