Lobo movie

http://www.aintitcool.com/node/42232

Welp.. the Lobo theatrical film now has a director.... Guy Ritchie....hrm....

Here's the plot:

Quote:
In the film, he is a seven-foot tall, blue-skinned, indestructible and heavily muscled anti-hero who drives a pimped out motorcycle, and lands on Earth in search of four fugitives who are bent on wreaking havoc. Lobo teams with a small town teenaged girl to stop the creatures.
They're aiming for a PG-13 film.

Now what's lame about this? PG-13?! For Lobo?! WTF?! Lobo is NOT PG-13 material and he does NOT need a fraking teen sidekick!!! Argh!!!!

I hope Guy Ritchie has seen the Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special. Cuz that's like one of the most awesome fan films ever made.

I lost count on how many superheroes exist a long time ago.

Lobo isn't really a super hero. He's kind of like the opposite.

I lost count of how many times people whine over a movie's rating before even giving it a fair chance.

I honestly can't stand most of them. I never understood Lobo's appeal at all.

For real. Lobo in particular has actually always been a kind of "why?" character to me. I once found a box in a recently vacated apartment filled with Lobo comics. I read through several before tossing the entire thing.

I liked lobo, but for the CRAZY violence and gore... how the hell can you do that with PG 13??? Not that I am crying about rating, because I truly agree not to worry about it until you see it, but that's like someone saying Hellraiser 1 is going to be re made but G instead of R.... How do you do the original justice?

No, but if there was a current one, I would have it. Lobo is what got me into comics all those years ago.

People actually like Lobo?

I always thought he was a joke 'favorite' character.

He is a joke.

Its like people who say they like Aquaman, or Puck, from Alpha Flight.

I do really like Lobo because he used to take the piss out of everything... until Superbo came along and that kind of... failed. Besides, his book was full of references and nods to other famous stuff. It was funny.
