My (past) collection, and current "diorama".
Recently I decided to sell most of my childhood TMNT because the container I had them in took up too much space. I made a Google Drive folder with all the sold, on-hold and unsold figures in the process and I thought some might get a kick out of these and besides, I didn't want to sell them without having at least a photo of them!
https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...kj?usp=sharing Anyway, I decided that if I'm going to sell all my toys, I may as well make sure to honor the memory somehow and I've ordered some stuff to put together a small display. Here are the results: https://imgur.com/a/LjGRJ These are bootleg NECA figures with an acrylic display and some inlays based on the NECA packages. Nothing fancy, but I thought I'd share them. I think it ended up looking quite nice for what it is. Now to figure out if I want to do this to my 2003 and 2012 sets as well or not (I didn't sell those because I have the four main turtles from both with weapons, so I'm on the fence about them). |

I wasn't too bothered by it. A lot of these old toys have no value as display pieces for me. Even back as a kid, I wanted them simply because they were TMNT.
A couple of collectors bought most of my figures for 160€ and I'm fairly sure they appreciate them a lot more than I do, while I appreciate the diorama I made. It looks cool as heck, takes up a lot less space and is a lot more presentable than a bunch of "kids toys". |

That diorama does look cool. I'm interested to see what kind of background you use for the other sets.

They'd probably use a smaller type of display case and these are what I came up with. Not sure if I'm going to do them tho. While the 2003 figures look really nice, they are impossible to pose, their legs are stupid and would be very crammed in the smaller case, but would also have way too much space in the bigger one I used for the NECA turtles. The 2012 figures are lovely and would look great in a case, so those might get a pass. |

Very well done! Sometimes, less is more.

Do you have a vintage background you can share?

Sure! Here are the exact files I took to the shop: https://imgur.com/a/d8HI7
The first two images were printed on both sides of the paper and the size of them to fit inside the specific display case I bought from eBay is: 31.5cmx18.5cm The last image, which goes under the turtles is 31.5cmx16.5cm Both were printed on 400g paper with a slightly shiny finish to mimic toy cardboard backing. As for the display itself, here's a direct link to the one I purchased: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Plastic-Acr...oAAOSwGJlZMl6w |
