Why? I thought it was the best MCU movie because it didn't follow the formula.

I didn't hate the movie, I thought it was entertaining, but it did kind of follow the same formula. Super jokey and no one took anything seriously.

Yeah, Guardians took that formula and ran with it.

I can't wait. GOTG is my favorite movie in the MCU. (with Cap 2 as a close second.)

Yeah, but it felt like the movie was geared to an older audience, plus the setting was a nice refresher from the other MCU movies.

I wish all the aliens weren't just painted humans. They should've looked alien.

Geared to an older audience? It was the kind of humour 13 year-olds (no offense) love.

Most 13-year-olds don't know who Jackson Pollock is. They might not even know who Kevin Bacon is.

Compared to the other marvel movies, I'd say it was geared to an older audience. I wouldn't expect the average 13 year old to understand the Jackson Pollock joke or know what a walkman is.

The first film was just OK. Granted I had no connection to the franchise or characters since I never heard of them before the film was announced, so obviously to hardcore Marvel fans it was probably more enjoyable.
