Also, there's a person here who creates Tags and believes in labeling people. For shame. Labels divide people, sir.

EDIT: Screw your edit, they're gay in my headcanon now because I think it's hilarious, and just explains, like, so much.

I want someone to do a dissertation on the two completely distinctive types of yearning in Rocksteady's eyes in each of the two pictures. There's a lot to unpack, there. You can tell which one of them is more sensitive in that Bebop chooses to hide his eyes, symbolic of the way he also likely hides his emotions, whereas Rocksteady just lets it all out with no restraint.

Yeah, definitely a lot to unpack there.
I don't disagree with the interpretation that they're gay, I just clarified that I know furry art isn't inherently gay or pornographic. Bebop and Rocksteady being gay makes perfect sense.

Also, have some more implicit official material:

That's just super. Points to them for leaning into the absurdity, I guess.

Frankly I can't quite imagine anyone finding either Bebop or Rocksteady attractive but I guess it takes different strokes to move the world.

well given that other than krang and shredder its just them in the technodrome. I mean what could they really do make a girlfriend out of a footsoldier? then again I remember in the archie comics of rocksteady dreaming about his rhino girlfriend. but then how would that work I wonder, when they were mutated wouldn't that mean the rhino and warthog would have mutated too , did they merge or what?

It always did kinda confuse me how Rocksteady seemed to have vivid memories of being a regular rhino when he had always been clearly presented as being a human being pre-mutation. But I just kinda shrugged it off. It didn't seem like the kind of thing that would ever have a very satisfactory explanation so I didn't think too much about it.

Maybe the writer was implying that he gained some of the rhino's "spiritual essence", or something, I don't know. There was all that stuff with Juntarra (Jagwar's mom) so it's not like that was the most unusual thing to see print in that series. Or maybe they just slipped and forgot that Rocksteady wasn't born a rhino. I'unno.

Well the easy explaination would just be that Murphy was forgot or was ingorant of Rocksteady's origin as a human, and simply assumed he was a mutated rhino.

If we want a better explaination... Most animals follow instincts and have a pretty good grasp of what they ought to do and what their natural environment is, there's not much learning required. Remember, the rhino his DNA was sampled from a zoo exhibit, it was probably raised in captivity and wouldn't have memories of the wild.

... Although, if we follow that logic, Splinter should have gained the instincts to eat any trash he comes across and crawl over dead bodies to get it...

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

- That's as good an explanation as any. I mostly always figured Murphy made an Oops.

- ....And how do we know Splinter didn't? Just because we never see him do it...

Just remembered that Peter Laird did some art work advertising a Furry Convention.

"Hey, Mr. Laird. Can you do some promo art for our Furry convention?"

"What's a Furry?"

"It's like a half human half animal character."

"Oh, like a werewolf?"

"Uhm... Sure..."

Actually reading his blog he actually attended the convention. He was the guest of honour with Stan Sakai.

So.... that must have been interesting. lol

Though I assume that actually looked more like an animal-based mascot convention and not a costumed orgy many of us probably tend to imagine. I hope.

I know very little about the furry community but I suspect you're right.

Although I'm curious about this particular con. That first image I posted was coloured and printed on a T-Shirt.

Also this image of the Super Turtles that has been doing the rounds all these years was printed in colour by Dooney for the cover of the program book. I'd love for someone who attended to put that online for everyone to see. https://4.bp.blogspot.com/_bLaSJk-py...over+bw+sm.jpg

What makes furry fandom and brony fandom no different than anime fans, Trekkies, Star Warriors, Whovians and all fandoms?

Cat-lady April was cute i admit but nowhere near as hot as the same thing that happened to Selina Kyle in that Batman TAS episode as at least Selina was nude in that episode, LOL. Of course Catwoman is hot no matter how she looked on Batman TAS, Batman Returns, the comics (except for Dark Knight Returns), 60s show and video games.

Maybe the fact that other fandoms don't dress in garrish and ugly costumes and don't have reputation of being community of degenerates who spread STD on conventions, house zoosadists, zoophiles, pedophiles and have an unhealthy fascination with fetishes like watersports and diapers?

Yo, screw the alcohol consumption, thread. Nuts to the gay Rocksteady and Bebop, too. I'm all in on this Splinter eating crap thing now. Maybe they call hi Splinter because he cuts the log!
