I respect what FW cartoon did for the turtles franchise but it is the most overrated and hard to watch of the 3 turtles cartoons.

The first Turtles movie should have been in the top 20 at least. There's no way all those other superhero movies stand the test of time, and of course way too much Marvel pandering.

Comic book movie? They are mutant turtles that fight vs a criminal organization with super-human (or turtle) agility and resilience. Sure its reaching but meh, ok with it.

its all thank to Jim Henson and the director

When you think about

tmnt 1 and the 5 pilot episode were so great..

how did everything else after go wrong?

I still love anything old tmnt.. but i mean the violence went way down..

the comedy felt more forced (besides a little too raph in tmnt 2) as the years went by.

the action went way down.

thank god for Mr Henson.. (rip)

Exactly. Not only is this movie in my top 10 as a whole but in regards to comic book and superhero genres ... it's my third favorite film, right behind The Dark Knight and Batman Begins. Though, if I'm being honest with myself I think Batman Begins and TMNT tend to switch places for second place a lot.

Eh ... I hear where you're coming from, but to me they still fall within the realm of what defines a superhero I guess.

I'd rather watch the first TMNT movie 50 times than many of those comic book movies again.
