Strange/odd things you do?

What are some strange habits of yours and things you do?

For some reason, I enjoy counting steps as I climb them. Dunno why. I end up eventually forgetting that information and I never do anything with it. It's just automatic for me to count steps once I start climbing them.

That's all from the top of my head. I tend to wash my hands a bit more than needed as well. A bit OCD in that aspect.

What about you?

More people do that nowadays. It's not like you've invented that.

I don't think I have any odd habits that I know of.

I think everyone does, it's just that some of us are too used to doing things a certain way that it's normalized and we don't realize it's odd.

Maybe you do, but you do them in private/at home and thus no one sees it/knows about it.

I enjoy playing around with my computer's sound setting, so I listen to the same songs and watch the same videos on different pitches.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

Well, what I mean is that none of my habits are really what anyone would call "odd". Like, I will have the tv on while I write or play games on the pc or phone, but that's not really "odd" or strange. Its just background noise, mostly. I honestly can't think of anything else. Maybe that I like to dance when I hear certain songs on my playlist, but that's not really weird or anything either. I've always loved dancing, and apparently, so does my "duckling""!

No hand washing obsession, but just extra thorough on the rinsing off part. Else, god forbid there might be some evil soap residue left behind... lol The toothbrush is the same way, I rinse it off really good after use. A glass is also rinsed out before use; not ridiculously so, but enough.

Other than that, I tend to get back out of bed (since I can't reach it) to make sure the alarm clock is in fact set, even though I know I set it... I just gotta double check to make sure.

Interesting enough I've never learned how to tie a tie in my life...and I'm over 30. Thank god most job interviews and jobs don't require ties anymore like my parents generation did.

I truly must thank my fellow millennials for getting rid of the dress code in most jobs. In a lot of jobs, even office jobs, you can go in wearing T-shirts and shorts. What a time to be alive.

I learned because I had to wear one at school, all secondary schools here still enforce it as part of the uniform

You DO realize those are because I am literally a "Duck", (by marriage) right? Like how Jessica was a "Rabbit" by marriage? It's not weird, it's a play on my actual name. Thought that was pretty well known by now.

A lot of people might find it weird, as they simply just don't get it. I have CDs of video game music on them myself. I once lent one to a friend when I was in school. When he gave it back to me, some other guy wanted to see what it was, and just laughed when he saw. Later, he told me he wouldn't have wasted his money on something like that. It's not a waste to me though, since I already had a substantial CD collection and I like to have the kinds in it that are obscure and unique. Video game music on CD happens to be big in Japan, or I at least it was back then. Maybe it still is. There's a lot of good music in video games, and when I had my first opportunity to get a CD of them, I took it. Nintendo Power magazine used to have quarterly catalogs of items you could order, and one of the things they'd offer is video game music CDs. The first one was for DKC.

I do a little dance around the living room if a new exciting videogame, movie, TV show, or something I like is announced and I'm seeing it the first time. I basically wave my arms in the air like I just don't care and dance around for about 3-4 minutes before I then sit back down on the computer trying to contain my excitement.

I also remember how back in the 2000s you were considered weird if you admitted to spend a lot of time online/behind a computer. I remember being in HS and people thinking I was really strange/odd for sitting in front of my computer until bedtime once I got home. Yet, nowadays, people seem to be online constantly due to phones and tablets. You log in to facebook at like 3AM and there's ALWAYS some people online and liking posts. So either things have changed and younger generations spend more time online at home than going outside to socialise or a lot of people in HS hyperbolised/exaggerated the things they claimed to do on their free time and all the socialisation they did.

Then again, I left HS in 2008. Back then, being a "geek" was still rather frowned upon while today apparently it's much more well accepted. Man, why was liking video games and cartoons a lot ever seen as weird for people older than 13, anyway?
