Watching a TMNT marathon on NickToons made me happy yesterday because we generally don't get that channel and were treated to a free trial.

My gamebit screwdriver showed up in the mail, so I can finally play my N64 imports. Spiffy.

My happy-maker: As of today, I've been married "officially" for 15 years! We had a hand-fasting about three years earlier, making our "marriage" technically 18 years, but it's the one on paper that everyone considers the "real" one. I count both. So we're going out for Chinese after I get off work later today. Yay!

Congrats to both you and Leo for hitting the big number lately (I think I forgot to give Leo congrats when he had his so I'll do you both at once!)
As for me, my happy-maker is a simple thing: buzzing my back and sides down to a #1 and walking around the house calling myself Imperator Pennyosa (and various permutations thereof). Because I am an enormous dork. Also, I had to cancel my therapy appointment for this week because I was sick - my psychiatrist phoned this afternoon just to check on me and make sure I was ok (and to call her if I needed anything between now and our next appointment), which I was surprised by and thought was super-nice.

Thanks penny. And congrats, Duckie, I think it's rad that we both celebrate with Chinese food.

Grats on the anniversaries, guys.
Happy maker... I guess just enjoying the summer-like heat on the back deck, messily painting the toenails blue, and working on a sudoku puzzle while watching grumpy clouds moving past to the south. |

Finally going to get to see Age of Ultron this weekend. We've worked our way through all the Marvel films as well as nearly two seasons of Agents of Shield in preparation. It's been a blast over the past few weeks where TV and films are concerned. We're also planning to eat at Outback and steak always makes me happy.

You rang, Krang? Sorry I just couldn't resist that one.
Thanks, guys. We had a great time, had a friend along (he provided transport, so we offered to pay for his dinner) and watched a movie after we came home. Then I did some organizing in my picture files- I have crap-ton of Gargoyles screenshots I use for reference but they were mostly a jumbled mess. Now I can find my Pack ones easily. Tale of Two Clans was waiting for that....

My client celebrated finishing her first week on the Take Shape For Life weight loss program. She came in today for her first weigh-in and workout since starting the program and she's already down almost 4lbs. Also, it's pretty spectacular when you put someone on a structured weight loss program, and their only "complaint" is that they're eating more than they're used to and it can be tough to finish everything as required. That's kind of atypical.

My apartment is finally free of items that I don't need.
Every now and then, I put things I no longer need up for sale on Amazon and eBay. The last thing I had to get rid of were a set of four Wii Remote Jackets I ordered from Nintendo when they offered them for free to those who already bought Wiis. I requested four since that's the maximum amount of players a Wii game would allow. I ended up never needing four Wiimotes, and didn't even use any of the jackets on the one I already had. So after all these years, I finally got them sold. Two from one guy on eBay, and today I got an e-mail from Amazon saying that someone bought the last two. I shipped them out today. |

Finally got the new soft top on my Jeep with the help of my bother-in-law. Had been waiting in a box since winter. The old one was the original (on a 14-year-old vehicle) and I'd been mentally begging it for a few years to hang in there just a little longer. So, that's done and happy it's on its way to looking newish again.
