yeah, i was pretty surprised there were only 2 covers for Batman/Tmnt issue #2.
it was a bit disappointing, but at least i wasn't compelled to go and buy a BUTT-TON of variants!!

Damn that explains a lot lol

I wonder if we will have a up swing in sales consider how good the issue was and the fact that batman and TMNT actually fought each other. I am sure a lot of people needed to change their pants after that fight scene

261. TMNT AA #6 - 5,104

I'm pretty sure this is the lowest the Nick comic has sold yet. While digital sales add to some of this, its really putting a picture that this series is literally just there.

That's back up after the last couple months for TMNT. Batman bleed-in? People catching up from trades? Alien plot?

Something tells me Santalouco doing Leatherhead next month will sell just fine. The nostalgia factor may get this arc some hype in the nerd blogs again.

I think a good bit of it was the board game kickstarter pulling in fans that hadn't read the comics. Especially with that sweet digital sale last month.

Sales will likely pick up also because of the movie and the videogame coming out, the latter of which uses the IDW designs so it will probably get some new people curious about the comics.

The main ongoing has consistently good sales. Hopefully deviations and the next mini sell well too.

Also Digital sales are not counted in these sales figures.

Oh, I forgot all about that. I wish I'd had money to kick in for a copy.

It'll hit retail and most of the KS exclusive content will be released in some form eventually, so it's not a deal breaker like some other games if you miss the kickstarter

It was also the best, period. These numbers definitely reflect its quality.

Not too fond of seeing 56 selling 3,298 less than last month though.

Amazing Adventures numbers are looking pretty bad.

So is the Nick comic pretty much done at this point? You know when TMNT Universe was announced I assumed that would be "replacing" the Nick comic...unless IDW really is going to continually put out 3 new TMNT comics every month.

Apparently the Nick comic is going on to issue 12 at least, which would finish the last trade when they're collected. I wonder if it'll go on past that.

Yeah, the Nick tie-in books always seemed kind of pointless, so it's a big loss if AA really has been cancelled. Still, that would mean every nick tie-in IDW made can be collected in three omnibuses, if anyone is interested in collecting them.

I really wish they had revamped Amazing Adventures a little more from its previous incarnation New Animated Adventures. This title could really benefit from some longer storyarcs with a bit more narrative oomph. Kiddos could handle it, maybe even prefer it, and it would draw more adults in too. I have a feeling Nickelodeon is a lot more picky about its direction than the main IDW series though.

Probably. I assume they wanted no majorly conflicting storylines with what was happening in the cartoon too, which is why most of the Nick comics have been one-shot or "filler" short stories.

With the original Nick run of 24 issues and this one going up to at least 12 issues, they made 36 issues total which is pretty lengthy for a kids comic. Plus there's that basketball crossover issue too.

I just noticed in the release date thread that #56 is getting a second printing, so maybe they didn't have enough copies for the demand or something. But I'd call a second printing a good sign.

that is pretty awesome issue 56 is getting a second printing.

the writing for amazing adventures is pretty mediocre at best.
they try to capture the feel of the show, but it just doesn't get the same quality as far as the humor is concerned.

heck! even the actual cartoon show has taken a few dips as far as the quality of writing is concerned.
