Not really digging these designs, that could change when I see a painted proto but I doubt it. I'm all in for the Mondos.

One thing that worries me about the Mondo figures is that (as far as I know) they aren't seasoned when it comes to action figures, while ThreeZero is. Skeptical as to how well the figures will perform as action figures.

Likewise. Soooo many figures and statues, yet nothing decent from the Steve Barron film.

Yeah 1/6 scale is an easy pass for me. I only like that scale for iconic looking designs, not for weird alternate universe looking stuff. They are too big an expensive to invest in in those cases, for my taste.

If these were 1/12 scale I'd probably give them another look.

Why is nobody doing high-end 1/6 scale Nick or 1990 live action turtles? Those would get attention from the fans.

Starting to wonder if the Revoltech Nick turtles are the best we will ever get (which I am fine with, they are great)

The further Eastman pushes the aesthetic, the less I like it.

I think the quality will be amazing, but these are not the turtles we're looking for..

I'm also starting to think the mondo turtles might not be worth it. Looking at the larger pictures, the scale looks to be off, and the paint seems weak...

Getting that sinking feeling.

God, Eastman's work is such crap.

What a waste of a great opportunity.

I echo the chorus requesting 6" versions. I have no space or interest for huge figures.

Whoops, I didn't realize the scale was so big. That makes these an easy pass for me as well. 6 inch figures would be must-haves for their individuality, but otherwise, no bueno.

THIS is why I hate Playmates. We can't get figures in a scale similar to theirs because they run the market. I wouldn't mind as much if their output was decent, but it isn't.

The more I look at them the more f*cking stupid they look.

Why does Raph's shell look like the inside of a waffle-maker?

And how much crap does Donatello need on is legs? Can he even move at this point?

Henson turtles would be best at 1/6th scale I think. The Mondo's Mirage, if it goes right. Outside of that though...

What is that even? And is Leo supposed to be camouflaged? I can't tell if it's urban camo or just sh*tty coloring skills.

And is Mikey wearing f*ckin' flipflops?!

This is why Eastman sucks as an artist: Half the sh*t, I don't even know what it is and the half that I CAN tell what it is is f*ckin' stupid.

If these were 6" $20 figures I'd definitely grab them just for a set of Eastman inspired TMNT. At 1/6 scale and likely $760 for the set (based on the movie set) I'll pass and save the money for the Mondos.

The only thing that would change my mind is if the Mondos are an insane price (always a possibility) and these look good when they're done. ThreeZero did a great job with the movie TMNT even if I didn't like the designs too much. If some of this gear is removable then they could potentially be a decent alternative if the price is right.

Seeing the astonishing quality of the ThreeZero products, I find it very sad that their TMNT efforts are being put into designs I can't relate to.

Playmates has nothing to do with the scale of these figures. If ThreeZero wanted to make 6" scale figures, they could as long as they weren't being sold by mass market retailers just as NECA did.

I'm fairly sure that's not true, & that they have the exclusive right to do figures between 4-7 inches or so. Revoltech have been the only exception to that, but given their highly articulated nature & foreign release, I don't think they fall under whatever clause Playmates may have.
