I'm a little sad they changed it to green, but only in the wake of Janelle Monae's video for her single "Pink."

Oh the fun connotations that could be made from that.

I personally have no problem with it, even love it, but I guess many don't like "stereotypical" femininity from both sides of the spectrum.

But Donnie's Noggin appears to have been gargantuan from the get go.

And yeah, I'd see the pink bat as lazy writing.

Kind of failing to see how giving the girl the pink thing is lacking in imagination.
This is the kind of thing I delight in being wrong about though, because it's entirely possible to take an overused trope, subvert it, and make something wonderful out of it.

But...not knowing the folks behind this show yet, I don't know that I want to allot them that level of credit...or open myself up to the potential for disappointment.

Considering April will be doing some fighting with that magic bat of hers I wonder if people will complain like Nick April's psychic powers. We're most likely going to see this April in the action just as much.

To me...psychic Jean Grey like powers is nothing compared to a magical baseball bat which the other boys have. (magical weapons I mean)
so as long as she doesn't develop, telekinesis, a sixth sense, telepathy (and a quick mastery of ninjutsu)...I think we are fine XD

A bat is pretty straightforward~ ^_^ Though I wonder what's it's special skill is.

I hope that they (the showrunners) won't rely on stereotypical tropes for April. (You know, the Sassy/Angry Black Woman and all that.)
