I am certainly not an expert on these things, but it could possibly be the player. Some players just won't detect burned copies. Have you ever done this with any other TV series or movie before purchased on i-tunes?

You need some software to convert the videos to the proper format. Someone else would have to point you to a freeware that can accomplish this. But, I think iTunes still puts DRM on their video downloads. That means that it will only play the files from the computers you've authorized via iTunes.

If you want to watch something on DVD, you really shouldn't buy it from iTunes. The DRM in the video is going to prohibit you from doing anything with it other than watching it in iTunes or via AppleTV.
All the software that purports to remove iTunes DRM is expensive, and I'm not familiar with any of them to know if they actually work. The best thing to do is buy the DVD and rip a digital copy for your computer.

Do a Google search. Seriously, I know nothing about any of them and I can't give any recommendations or give any promises regarding viruses. Really, I would consider all of them to be shady.

These were the first few hits I got after Googling the term "burning itunes movies to dvd", and they all seem pretty comprehensive.
http://www.aimersoft.com/tutorial/bu...ie-to-dvd.html http://lifehacker.com/5192309/burn-y...movie-to-a-dvd http://www.daniusoft.com/tutorial/bu...es-to-dvd.html That last link seems to be the best, as it offers a step-by-step guide, and links to free programs to do what you need to do. BUT, proceed at your own risk. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. |
