Maybe they didn't plan to publish an ongoing and decided that a mini was a better idea.

Okay, a few things.

First of all, what in the holy name of Eastman is that thing behind Koya and Bludgeon? Like, that's legitimately terrifying.

Second, some black magic is at works here. If I had a gun pointed to my head I couldn't tell you what happened in Karai's Path except that she gets some weird sword since I really didn't enjoy it so I might be forgetting something but it does seem weird to me that Karai now wants war against Splinter's Foot... after she literally handed the clan over to him. It's a pretty safe guess that she's being mind controlled by something, probably Pantheon related. Honestly, my guess is that Karai will be the way to incorporate the Pantheon to this storyline.

Third, holy crap I'm glad Michael Dialynas is doing the art for these issues. The Mikey Macro just blew me away, honestly. He's up there with Santolouco as my favorite artist for TMNT.

Fourth, speaking of Mateus, I'm getting the impression that the Shredder is going to learn just how much Kitsune was manipulating him, which would further reinforce my theory of the Shredder becoming a reluctant ally of the turtles.

2019 is gonna be a great year.

Shredder in Hell looks like it's shaping up to be something special.

Karai is back and given the arc is called "City at War" I guess she won't be at peace with Splinter and the Foot. I always wondered if Karai would try to get control of the Foot back from Splinter, I guess we'll see.

Lastly I wonder if the Pantheon stuff is even going to happen before issue 100 now. Maybe it won't happen till *the* 100th issue.

I've forgotten what happened in those issues, didn't Karai get a magic sword or something? I know she wanted to start her own clan but it's been awhile so I don't remember.

I'm with you here! "Karai's Path", from my point of view, was one of the best IDW miniseries - both visually and storytelling wise. And I'm really happy that someone as talented as Michael Dialynas will be drawing (Dirtbag) Ocho.

Karai seems to get an extreme heavy hitter collection - herself, Bludgeon, Koya, Ocho, Bebop, Rocksteady - IDW should not call it "City at War" but "Maximum Carnage"! Immagine that SNES music playing in the background...

Regarding Dialynas - you can really see his development from issue 53 to MikeyMaxi. These are two different artists. Just wow!

If issue 91 will be as great as I immagine, Dialynas wil earn his place at the TMNT IDW pantheon, where there are Santoluoco, Dave Wachter and, last but not least, Ross/Sophie Campbell!!!

I suppose, that "City at War" will be everyone (=Turtles, Foot, Karai's band, Mutanimals, Null, resurrected Shredder, Bishop) fighting against the Pantheon!
