Twister 2: Twisters.

Well, I really enjoyed the original and I had the soundtrack. Twister was an absolute guilty pleasure movie of mine. Without Bill Paxton, I'm not sure how it'll work, I guess he dies off screen chasing storms, what the character loved doing. In a world of pointless squeals, I'm actually looking forward to this. This could be to 2024 what Maverick was 2022.

The titular Twister better be somehow vaguely but demonstrably related to the original storm front.

Paxton would have been the only reason to see this. And Helen Hunt looks about 150 years old now.

Maybe Bill Paxton has become a storm himself like Harold Ramis became a ghost in Ghostbusters Afterlife

Apparently the movie is not a reboot or a continuation of the original, It has a standalone story set on modern day.

When I saw the original Twister in the theaters with my dad, it made me want to study weather so I can hopefully some day be a weather forecaster but now I want to work in technology. I read books, watch a lot of tornado VHS documentaries and studied weather forecasts for years.
Strangely I like severe thunderstorms; but on the flip side, I also fear them, because I have anxiety attacks in conditions where I feel I'm in danger and hearing tornado sirens really gets my attention. I never once saw a tornado without a book or a TV. |

Not to sound like a snowflake, but tornadoes are a HUGE trigger for me, which is part of the reason I hate spring (the other cons are the wasps and pollen). Back in 2020, a tornado hit our town and it was a big one too. I watched it tear my town apart live on our TV and needless to say it left me traumatized, so much so that now every time we have a severe storm watch/warning, I watch every weather update every minute until it’s over, hoping that we don’t get a tornado in our area. I’m still seeing a therapist and I need to take Xanax whenever I get anxiety, and with tornado season coming up, I’m gonna need all the anxiety-relief I can get.
In short, I’m gonna give this movie a pass for personal reasons.

“We got Twins” sounds like an intentional attempt to create an instant meme.

"Remember 'Twister'?" and "Look, the 'Twister' font!"
<== the extent of the "Sequel." Which doesn't mean Helen Hunt wouldn't show up in a part 2, or something.
