Iwonder if they'll use the puppet this time or just make ALF cg. Did you know the ALF sets were very unpleasant and a lot of work to shoot, because it was difficult working with a puppet on set? Actors hated the experience, it seems.
Willie(Max Wright) apparently let himself go as he got older. As for Andrea Olsen, the actress who played Kate's and Willie's daughter Lynn, she has aged rather well, I must say. Come to think of it, it seems none of the actors amounted to much after ALF. Raquel was Jerry's mother in Seinfeld, but the rest? I don't watch a lot of tv, but don't recall seeing them in other major movies or tv shows. Tbh, I never cared much about most ALF characters asides from Alf and Willie. Alf and Willie had a lot of chemistry and had some of the best moments together in the show. hard to believe Max Wright once attacked the puppet out of fury during a shoot Trevor was entertaining as well. |

I think I've only actually seen one episode, in a hotel at some point.
Revolving around the family cat disappearing and everyone thinking that he had eaten it. Which resulted in him going in search of it, accidentally finding the wrong one, then ended up in a pound because he was mistaken for a dog and found the real cat and then busted himself out with the cat. And then the family just...had two orange cats.

I loved Alf when I was a kid but I doubt I'd enjoy it much as an adult. The show sure was a big hit, though.

Alf and Willie had good chemistry.
The neighbors were funny as well. I also liked the daughter but never cared much for the wife or son. |

I would much prefer Alf as a puppet/person in costume.

Well the show was a pain to shoot. Long shifts and full of trap doors for Paul Fusco to control the puppet. Actors hated working on the show. Unless shooting long running tv shows with puppets on set has improved a lot since the 80s, then it's gonna be a miserable experience for everyone again.

What I would like this new series to do. Is have the Tanners reunite with Alf. They could have Brian Tanner be all grown up and having a family of his own. And he finds Alf.

I know CGI exists for special effects of certain Marvel and DC shows, but a fully CGI ALF would not look good on a crappy TV budget. Maybe in a live action movie, where they can rival the CGI used on Rocket and Groot, but these guys are talking about a tv series.
