I noticed that despite B&B being known for being so raw and hardcore, they still used rather tame swearing. Other than 'ass' and such, they used insults like buttmunch, fartknocker, dillhole and whatnot instead of dropping actual f-bombs.

I'm pretty sure we could all live without two Team Up shorts. Let alone three.
Just like the first one, this one was painfully unfunny. The only thing this one had over the first one is that it had better concepts. Krang's android body in a room with pregnant women is a funny idea, but they don't go much further than that. Same goes for B&R as Beavis and Butthead. It's a great idea that got me laughing, but the execution just wasn't funny. I can't wait to see more.

These shorts are basically the Teen Titans Go type humor, which is what I don't want an entire series of. As shorts, they're pretty harmless. But I fear if they get too popular we'll get a series of this.

Storyboard snippet from the "Strike Hard" short. I like the design on Krang, mixing his Fred Wolf android upper body with the Terminator-style Utrom/Kraang legs:
Also Mousers!

Actually laughed pretty hard at them making fun of Leatherhead, for whatever reason. Also dug the Beavis and Butthead reference, they coulda done more with it though.

Bevis and Butthead with Bebop and Rocksteady?
These TMNT: Team-Up shorts are just boring. I haven't chuckled with the exception of the example above. Animation also stings personally. It just reminds me too much of Mad. Hopefully, there are better shorts after it. I feel so bad for that monkey though.

I caught the We Strike Hard short on TV. They played it in between random episodes the other day. It was actually freakin' amazing! I have no idea why it hasn't appeared on main stream media yet. At least no where that I can find still... Especially since in my opinion it is miles high above the rest so far.
April has some kind of (what seems to be anyway) a Kraang power crystal of sorts but anyone who touches it turns into a tentacle monster. It doesn't explain a whole lot about that and I don't really consider that to be a spoiler, but bottom line the action and animation were fantastic.

Ah yes! Very much actually. I really loved it though. I happened to catch it on my DVR. I wish I knew a way to transfer it from TV to the computer. The animation is very Samurai Jack-ish. If the new series was geared more in this direction rather than on the idea of the past 2 shorts I'd be quite pleased.
Not that I hated Flora Fedora and No Fly Zone as maybe cute/goofy one offs, (and even that is a stretch to be honest) but if an actual full length series went in that direction I'm pretty sure I'd die a little inside.

Oh my god, it was actually good???
All action, minimal dialogue, Krang sounding oddly like Invader Zim sometimes (which would be appropriate?), a neat style, April's haircut.

Wow, the animation was really good in this one. I didn't care for the character designs themselves but the way the characters moved and flowed from one scene to the next was fantastic. Also really dug that crystal than made everyone grow tentacles when they touched it.

Decent.
Character designs weren't to my liking, but at least this one wasn't ran-dumb like the last ones. Not much in terms of story, but that's to be expected with the runtime these things get. I would've liked an explanation for that canister, though. I also liked the fluidness of the animation. |
