Saw it yesterday. I thought it was pretty good. Will definitely keep watching it.

For those worried about his 3rd season curse, Greg Weisman is no longer involved with Rebels so there's no reason to think this show will end after 2 seasons.

Why is he no longer involved? Hopefully he can make a Young Justice movie now or something.

Not sure. They just said he's no longer involved.

It seems Henry Gilroy (who worked on The Clone Wars) has taken his spot.

I'm guessing he didn't leave in the best of terms since I haven't heard anything about him in any SW media which was a bit odd. I liked that it was him that seemed to put back the "Adventure" to Star Wars but I was also afraid of Weisman since he can be a control freak and to him "his" vision of the universe is the only correct one. At least it seems like it'll be in good hands if its with the same people who did CWs.

Wow, had no idea he could be like that. I'm just glad the show is already renewed for a second season and that the same CW crew is at the Rebels helm. Dying to see the premiere.

He's been promoting Rebels on his twitter account for a good while and both Filoni and Prinze Jr. have said nothing but great things about him.

He's a "control freak" just because he doesn't consider season three of Gargoyles canon? That's pretty harsh.

Oh man, I loved the scene when Kanan revealed himself to be a Jedi.

Did you read A New Dawn? Kanan doesn't reveal that he has a lightsaber to Hera, and we see in here that the crew has seen Kanan's light saber before. Something must've happened in between.

Just finished it today. I love that he didn't use the lightsaber in the book. Made the reveal scene that much better.

I do wish that Ezra hadn't activated the lightsaber beforehand. It would've made the reveal that much cooler.

Droids in Distress (S01E02) is FREE ON iTUNES RIGHT NOW

Just open itunes, search for star wars rebels, find the episode and it should say free next to it. You have to 'buy' the free episode to make it a permanent addition to your library so do it now!

By the way... I hope some of you bought A New Dawn when it was for sale at $3.99 on Amazon Kindle, because the price is now back to 11.99

I am already liking this way more than Clone Wars. I'm just not a big fan of Jedi-heavy stories. Kanan doesn't act like a Jedi and the cast is such a mishmash.
I'm also super excited because I have a friend who works at Lucasfilm who is involved with tbe show. She can't talk about it much, but she's a huuuuuuge fan.

Second episode was good. I liked Sabine and Ezra isn't that bad of a character.

I agree and I really can't wait to learn more about Sabine she seems like she must have a really interesting backstory.

Also Ezra haters need to deal with it, he's not annoying he's actually pretty cool. Going to be fun watching him learn the force. One of my hopes with this series is they focus on the padawan training process something we have not seen very much of in the movies/tv shows.

Clone Wars had some of those padawan episodes and they were some of my favorite in the series.

The only thing I didn't like was Vizago. He seems like a cheap Hondo knockoff.

Yup he felt very disposable and not that interesting at all. oh well. Hopefully they have some more interesting "shady" characters coming.
