I'm excited to hear about this. It's always great to see X-Men movies based on the comics, which have been popping up quite a bit lately.

I think what is going to happen is, In Days of Future Past, Wolverine will change the past, Go back to the future only to find out its been taking over by Apocalypse. I can see them adapting the Age of Apocalypse story in the next film.

Which means Wolverine will have to back in time again and prevent an assassination of some sort. I bet its Prof X since Age of Apocalypse dealt with the idea of Prof X being killed in the past which created an alternate timeline.

That's definitely the most logical theory -- where Days of Future Past ends, the Age of Apocalypse is (somehow) left in its wake. Though I wonder if two back-to-back time travel/alternate timeline/alternate future films is really the best thing to do. Could be cool, though.

Rather like with Days of Future Past, however, I just don't give Bryan Singer any credit to either give us a proper Apocalypse or a proper Age of Apocalypse movie. He just doesn't respect comic books enough to go "big" enough with these kinds of things... he's proven it time and time again and wears it on his sleeve.

About time they do a villain other than Magneto. Christopher Judge should play Apocalypse.

Well I guess this is also a way to keep the original cast for another movie. After all they can't just make another X-Men movie without the "newer" cast because it's like admitting that was a mistake, which it also wasn't and the old cast can't keep making these movies forever, this is a way to give them another "last hoorah" before they can continue to move on with the "new cast".

I'm actually more excited with what Fox is doing with X-Men than Disney with the MAU.

Just think about this for a second. If most if the same cast return for this movie it'll have been 16 years since the X-men movie universe began

16 years. I was still in middle school when the first X-men movie came out. I can't believe the franchise is still going without a reboot.

Yay! Finally! Apocalypse on the big screen! I just hope he's not going to be portrayed as some cloud. They should try to go with his battle armor look.

Christopher Judge is a great choice for Apocalypse. He's certainly got the voice for the part and I'm guessing he has the look as well. I second the comment pertaining to Magneto. Love him as a villain and all but after pretty much nothing but Magneto for several x-men movies, can't wait to see Apocalypse. Hoping Sinister isn't too far behind or maybe he'll show up in the film as well. God I wish these X-men comics would get audio adaptations some day as I'd really like to experience this story arc as well as many others.

It's a little bit telling when we're now 8 X-Men movies into things and only just now getting a "Big" villain other than Magneto. Bryan Singer thinks too small... always has, always will, and doesn't care about the comics. Doesn't respect them. He's proven and shown this over and over again.

But at least the X-Men movies' continuity is pretty intact and easy to understand:

And who wants to bet the "Apocalypse" in the Bryan Singer-verse will just end up being some normal-ish guy with a leather jacket and maybe some facial tattoos?

I have to disagree, he understands the source material, and he HAS read the comics when making the first two movies.

I'd settle for that. His actual comics look would look incredibly stupid if realized fully on screen. One of those designs that just works better on a panel than a picture.

Looking forward to this and Days of Future Past. X-Movies, with about two exceptions, rarely are out of step.

Nope. The people that write the story/screenplay for these do, while he's the jackal in the background telling everyone to not bring any comic books on set, and completely forget about comics. And that X-Men costumes are stupid.
