LMAO! So did I! That looked very awesome though. Seeing all the villains together like that just got me excited for the game's story. I still wish characters like Shadow, Knuckles, and Tails were still playable but not like in a way where the game drastically changes because of it like in the Adventure games, but more like how they handled it in the Genesis and Advance games. Where their abilities can change your attacks and the routes you take.

Chao grinding might have been my least favorite part of SA2 trying to unlock the 3D Green Hill Zone level.

Since Sonic 2 was the first game I played, I tend to lean more towards the 'Emerald Hill Zone or bust' mentality.

Then I eventually realized that Emerald Hill is simply a simplified version of Green Hill Zone, minus the multiple spike pits (all I remember was there were a lot of spike pits within the lower regions of the Green Hill Zones), and the rotating thorn bridge(s).

But, I still like Emerald Hill anyways.

Tails can't even fly in Sonic 2.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles is definitely superior in literally everything. Story, gameplay, music, characters, etc.

to catch up on a few things being discussed in this thread:

No DIC Sonic cartoon got an ending which sucks, my fav. is Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog now and as a kid it was SatAM. When I marathoned the shows I wrote about putting them all in continuity and besides a few hiccups it works great since you can see Robotnik begin, become more evil and be defeated only by watching all 3 cartoons.
I never got into the Chao Garden or understood it, I remember taking a lot of care for them in the GBA game and I think I even used the GBA cable to transfer data between them but yeah never clicked. I would like to see them return but the guy who was in charge of that doesn't even work at Sega anymore.
Seeing Shadow again as a villain is a brilliant move, they really should keep it, even after this game.
With all the re-branding Sega seemed to be doing I really thought they would bring back classic Sonic as the main mascot, a shame i think that would've revitalized the franchise.
I always wanted to unlock Green Hill Zone in SA2, I mean yes it's a very simple level and the 3D version might be mediocre with SA2's game play but to see it in 3D finally, it was just something I really wanted but yeah, impossible to get gold medals in all levels for me

They wont use Classic Sonic as the current mascot because then people will complain that Sega wont evolve with the times.

I like the lyrics but I don't know about Hoobastank. I was never a fan of them. I didn't hate them it just never appealed to me.

The second part sounds good. Hopefully the whole song sounds better.
