But on a serious note: with the way Nick's TMNT handles relationships and characters, I doubt anything really good will come out of it. More like it will be used for a few aesops which would be promptly forgotten by the next episode, and some cheap laughs.

Maybe instead of a crush, she can be a mother figure, but oh the oedipus complex that it will create.

I think the best approach would have Mona Lisa be part of the Newtralizer's race, and she goes against her people to save Earth, and comes to Earth to try and warn them about danger, and in turn, she gets outcast and hunted down by The Newtralizer for her efforts, and Raph gives her the support she needs.

Or maybe Mona Lisa is actual April's mother, who carefully mutated herself to survive Dimension X's atmosphere and blend in with the Newtralizer's race so that she can hide herself from the Kraang. Maybe she even started a grass root movement within Newtralizer's race and the Triceratons by making the public believe that their ancient ancestors were dinosaurs that were abducted from Earth, and thus motivating them to fight against the Kraang for their home planet. However, doing so had unintentionally made them want to invade the planet for themselves which is why she wants to go to Earth and warn them about the upcoming invasion.

Mona Lisa appeared on tv so it made sense she's more popular. Whereas Ninjara... I've only seen her in that absurd porn parody comic some ex-official tmnt artist did (stumbled on it on this forum). She's pretty much unknown.

Yeah, unless you read the Archie comics, most probably don't know of Ninjara. I know I didn't until I read it later on. Mona Lisa I always knew because of the show and how I really liked the character.

For this poll, however, I didn't pick, but I feel that for this incarnation, Ninjara would fit in better.

In all seriousness though, I think we've got enough love interest material in the show already. I don't think we need too much more drama than there already is. However, even if Nickelodeon decides to make a love interest for ALL the ninja turtles, I'm still gonna like the show. It won't be the end of the world for most fans.

The only problem is, Mona Lisa only appeared on one Episode and has an action figure, While Ninjara appeared on many issues of the Archies Series comics, But never appeared on TV nor got an action figure.

And Raph actually had a 3rd love Interest. There was a 5 part story in the Archies Series comics, That took place in the future, And Future Raph had a girlfriend name Mezcaal, a Mutant Coyote.

I hope this show at least does something with Mona Lisa, no matter what role they put her in. (Though I'd still love to see her mercilessly fawning over him in some teasing way, much to his waning tolerance. lol) I love that she's such a blank slate since her prior appearance was so brief, almost total artistic freedom to develop her more however Nick wishes.

I'd feel a new character with a tough, witty attitude would be the best way to go, and while Ninjara could work. I feel that Mona Lisa is a bit too lighthearted for Raph in the Nick show compared to the OT goofball, and all I could see is a running gag paying tribute to her. That was my vote, but feel that equally likely there would be no mate for Raph.

Maybe they could go a more edgy route with her, like Alopex? She was (loosely) based on Ninjara, so it could be done. I'd like to see her with a bubbly but very take-no-crap attitude. I think Raph would like that. You know- sweet and fun-loving and energetic, but if you make her mad- LOOK OUT! (A darker side, maybe?) Something like that. Sort of like the Power Puff Girls- they're so cute, you almost forget they can kick your butt!

Eh, no. If Mona Lisa isn't a friend for Raph, then I don't want her in the show. No more of everything revolving around April. I'm kind of sick of it.

I'd rather it be Karai, considering he has once mentioned "She's Hot!" and Karai even mentioned to Leo that she likes Raph's personality!

It would be funny if Raph becomes attracted to her because her new snake looks more sexy to him where as Leo is 100% turn off by it.

Karai and Raph do seem to be similar in personality, but personally, I would think that Raph would be more attract to someone who takes no sass, and is calm and collected like a cool cucumber.

He might be a little turn by her at first because she might a little bit a stick in a mud like Leo, but maybe there a side to her that he only sees when he's alone with her.

Raph doesn't need a love interest, but if were to happen, I'd definitely pick Mona Lisa for him to be with or maybe even Lucindra. Yeah, she's not on the poll, but that would be neat.

Raph isn't attracted to April, and based on what he's said to Donnie, he's not the type to fantasize about love and being in love because he feels it wouldn't work out. But if he were to gain a love interest, it would be cool because he wouldn't want to believe it at first and would be all negative and stuff.

Plus the Turtles can live a very long time, That Story from the comics took place 100 years in the future.
