Bill and Ted Daughters are cast

Rising stars Brigette Lundy-Paine is on deck to star as Bill Preston’s (Alex Winters) daughter Thea Preston, while Samara Weaving will join her as Ted Logan’s (Keanu Reeves) daughter Billie Logan. (And, yes, it seems as if the girls’ names are cute nods to their respective dads’ very best friend.)

That's weird. I assumed they were boys because their names were Little Ted and Little Bill, but they don't actually say either way at the end of Bogus Journey.

Although I'm guessing the story will probably nullify that ending in some way based on what we know about the general synopsis...

That's true, though Thea into Ted is a bit of a stretch. I know a couple of Theas and none of them go by Ted. If it's short for Theodora then maybe, but you probably wouldn't shorten that to Thea in that case. Any Theodoras feel free to correct me.

Bill & Ted are not that smart on the other hand, so maybe it makes sense.

pure and simple.

they are already trying to fit bill and ted into modern times by gender swapping the characters. not quite what i wanted to see after 20 years.

The fact that they used baby girls in reality to film them makes me more forgiving. But that 100% wasn't the intent in Bogus Journey to make them female.

Yeah. They only vaguely look the same, but I didn't noticed when I was a kid. Same with Jennifer from Back to the Future; pretty obvious when you watch them close together, but I didn't pick it up.

So now, jeeze. What do they even do? Do they try and get back the actresses from the original movie, or the ones that took their role for Bogus Journey (which is the last time we saw the characters)? I'm not sure which one is more logical. Hell, is it best to just recast both a second time?

Just got to location to shoot @BillandTed3. Making movies is a miraculous gig, but it's also stressful & fairly nuts. Good to be here with @ed_solomon, our great director & producer, many folks I've known most of my life. We're family, and that makes this all the more special.
