I poked out from my front porch to take a look. Don't think I'm in the right area to see the moon turn red, so it was just another Texas partial lunar eclipse to me. And, at its "main event", it was behind the neighbor's trees so there was no way I could view it clearly.
Still pretty neat. In the meantime, my brother's endorsement on seeing it: Quote:

I got to watch the whole shebang from our back drive through window. From the first nibble until it tirned dark reddish. Beautiful. Took some pics, but they came out grainy and hazy since there was a lamppost right next to where the moon was setting. Pretty cool though!

I love astronomy and, especially manned, spaceflights! Can't wait for the next manned flight from Earth to Moon and back.
