Catwoman was on death row for murdering 250+ terrorists (confirmed this is what she did, not a twist), Batman is rampaging and not being smart, and apparently he wrote Selina a sappy, wordy, verbiose love letter. I couldn't even read it, I just skimmed the last issue, saw that it is more of the same, and said "Bye Felicia."

Basically, Tom King is terrible at writing Batman.
How does Psycho Pirate's manipulating of emotions act as a steroid? That makes no sense at all.

Its not the Outsiders? It seems like more of a mission for them. Cashing in on the recent film opposed to what makes the most sense in a nonsensical plot.

Also, Catwoman killing Black Mask I was okay, but the key trait that makes her who she is not killing anyone and a triple body count even if they are bad guys? Batman would have cut ties with her for good. He beat up the Punisher for murdering a few drug dealers. I understand your frustration! Their flirtation as 7th graders in Gotham is cute if its any compensation.

Because apparently Venom helped Bane not be afraid? Or so King says.

Hell, a decent Squad lineup would have helped. (And a different story.) Or even better, Jason Todd and/or Huntress would be great on Suicide Squad, working as a mole for the Bat.

And yeah, mass-murdering Catwoman is just so bad it's funny.

i so disgusted with Tom King’s writing on Batman. the guy is a hack.
i’m convinced that any issue i enjoyed from the Grayson series was probably written by Tim Seeley?
it just feels like they guy has no idea about what any of the characters are all about.

King doesn’t understand Batman, and he RUINED Catwoman while he was at it too.
Catwoman killing 20 people would have been far fetched! even 10 people!!
but over 200+ that’s just stupid!
he’s just trying to go for cheap shocks like Snyder used to, no matter how random or unmotivated they might be.

i’m sure his impressing the heck out of all the teenagers that are fairly new to comics, and are used to the 'Hip' and 'Wowey' standard of writing set by the New 52.

That is why I am showing you older tales for your reading pleasure. How crazy is The Underworld Olympics? I assumed the run was better than Synder despite the acclaimed darker run by Synder and sales about the same.

Catwoman mass murdering terrorist? It makes no sense at all. Sure she reformed and wants to stick it to people who harm others and Black Mask can slide as a one-shot incident she learns from. *stares at rug and grabs a broom*

Killing Black Mask was a HUGE thing for Selina; he'd tortured Maggie and her husband, hounded Selina for months... it was her last resort, and it ate at her.

This is just cheap shock value disguised as "character twist."

That is what I am saying. It worked with Black Mask and gave a great character arc for Selina but this does not fit.

Looks like the Rebirth shine is starting to wear thin. Batman maintains the lead, but that's the only books in the range making the top ten as Marvel slowly rise upwards with new number ones (good news for Spider-Marriage fans too)

1. BATMAN #10 (DC)
2. BATMAN #11 (DC)
3. CIVIL WAR II #7 (MAR)
4. ALL STAR BATMAN #4 (DC)
5. INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #1 (MAR)
6. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: RENEW YOUR VOWS #1 (MAR)
7. BATMAN ANNUAL #1 (DC)
8. VENOM #1 (MAR)
9. THE WALKING DEAD #160 (MR) (IMA)
10. IVX #0 (MAR)

people just want Super Radically Awesome Extreme shocks!!!
it's just amazing what propels the Hype machine.

i'm not sure what's worse? Selina's killing spree, or Bruce's suicide attempt?
way to go and Emo up the character!
next we'll find out Bruce Wayne as a boy was wearing black nail polish.

So what happened with the whole, "3 Jokers" thing? Did they confirm there really are 3 Jokers, are they all still alive, or was this story retconned?

i'm sure that will be a multi-title cross-over event for another day.

The DC Holiday Special was very comfy stuff.

Detective Comics was a bit weak, with the bad guys taken down easily, and there's a "surprise" betrayal that probably won't stick

Action Comics...virtually nothing happened. Loads of talking, backstory on Godslayer, but that was about it.

New Superman was a lot of fun, Kenan loses his dad, but Dr. Omen takes his body and puts it in cryo-sleep, revealing he's a loved one.

Detective Comics was pretty boring except for Clayface, and Red Hood and the Outlaws was great. Not really much to say on either one... mostly a lot of punching.

I didn't realize DC was putting out a Holiday comic this year. They do it randomly. What are the contents of the issue?

The Batgirl/Nightwing story sounds interesting, unless it's HipsterBabs. Also interested in the Flash story...

Babs is still sporting her DC-You outfit, but her new series is much better that the previous run. she actually feels like Barbara Gordon again, just in a derpy costume (which will eventually change i'm sure)

Gotham Spoilers and Batman-News have kept me up-to-date on her; it's still HipsterBabs.

having read issues 1-5 so far, i still like it much better that the previous creative team.

i just hope they keep Rafael Albuquerque on art duties.
without him i can't say i'd enjoy it as much.
