Looks like a new series based on the new cartoon will be coming out. The comic is coming out for Free Comic Book Day. I assume this means a series will follow?

Love how they added the word "Adventures" to this title...

Feels like an homage to the Archie series loosely based on the series that came before it.

While i love his work, I never thought it suited the grittier mirage storytelling, but with the cartoon slant it makes perfect sense! Excited to have 2 simultaneous ongoing series again! (My wallet, on the other hand, is less thrilled about it.)

Totally agree with you. He's much better suited for this sort of thing. I love it.

Any reasons for that? Murph may have worn his environmentalism on his sleeves, but he wrote some really great stories.

His inconsistency always drove me nuts. Plus he's burnt out on turtles.

Beyond that, I'd like to see some new blood come in.

Oh wow! The guys at IDW definitely did their homework, Brizuela is just perfect for the job. I didn't really enjoy him all that much in Mirage, but with the Nick Turtles he sure will shine.

I wonder how they're going to do this. Will the new stories fit in perfectly with the show? I mean they can't have Shredder fighting the Turtles with Dogpound and Fishface it it never happened in the series that way.

honestly... i don't see what all the fuss is about. it's another freakin' Turtles comic series we can enjoy! i'd rather have another continuity that writers can freely move about than trying to be consistent with a show. 3 continuities aren't so bad. now cut it out and let's be grateful the Turtles are back (in different forms... but still... back).

to put it short... WE HAVE OPTIONS OF CONTINUITY ONCE AGAIN =]
