Man of Steel 2, directed by Matt Vaughn.

Man of Steel 3, directed by Zach Snyder. AKA Superman: Days of Future Ass.

Man, TTN. That's some attitude.

More like "Days of Future Sass."

EDIT: And now I sound like my gramma... am I overcompensating for the "Are TMNT fans rude?" thread?

I feel like the damage is done. You can't totally change the tone of an established movie series without making it something else entirely.

I don't even think the actor who plays Superman is a bad actor, he just has a bad director.

If the X-Men films can keep going, so can Superman.

Best news out of the DCEU in a long time. If this pans out I'll actually be hopeful for the movie!

BvS hurt the character but as long as they course correct a bit in JL (which it seems they know they have to & claim they always intended to) then there's no reason why the character can't be in the right place at the end of JL. That way MoS2 won't need to do any retooling or rebooting of the character, it can just hit the ground running with a better version Superman.

They can just call it "Superman," too.

‘Kingsman’ director Matthew Vaughn confirms ‘Man of Steel 2’ talks

Earlier this year it was reported that Warner Bros. wanted X-Men: First Class and Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn to direct Man of Steel 2. HeyUGuys caught up with Vaughn, who is promoting his new movie Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and he confirmed that talks have taken place.

“I am planning another Kingman, I’ve written the treatment and some of the scenes… I don’t know what I’m going to do next but I have had chats about Superman, I love Superman,” Vaughn said.

It turns out, Vaughn is a big geek like us. “If somebody asks me to do Indiana Jones, most of the superheros, or Star Wars, the fanboy in me can’t help but be excited,” he added.

I really, really, REALLY hope this turns out to be true.

First Class and Kingsman were both amazing. Totally rewatchable, totally full of heart, fun, and badassery.

I can think of no better filmmaker to make an awesome Superman movie.

It goes without saying that Vaughn on Man of Steel 2 could only possibly be a great thing.

Which means it probably won't happen...

Let's enjoy the buzz of an awesome theoretical for a few minutes before we let reality set in, okay?

Vaughn talked with Collider http://comicbook.com/dc/2017/09/18/m...2-story-ideas/

I wanna do a modern version of the Donner [version][/B]. Go back to the source material… For me Superman is color, feel-good, heroic. He’s a beacon of light in darkness. And that’s what I think Superman should be.”

SEE DCEU and WB Vaughn understands what Superman should be

Geoff Johns wanted a lighter tone for Man Of Steel

That should be "wanted." Man of Steel already happened... I thought you were talking about MOS2 at first, to which my comment would have been "obviously!"

Re-watched Man of Steel again with my daughter. She didn't care for it/forgot everything about it when she saw it years ago, but really dug it this time around.

Yeah... Snyder was pretty clearly setting up Brainiac for a future MoS movie here. Too bad. Also, this time around I think the cinematography bugged me here. So much shaky cam and rack focus shots -- BvS and Justice League didn't have any of that.

So is the general who confronts Superman at the end of MoS the same actor who appears for a few seconds in the Synder Cut of JL as M.Manhunter? That was totally lost on me the first time I saw it.

Yeah, same actor. He was in BvS, too.
