They look great... and in packaging like that, they just scream, "open me!".

None whatsoever at the moment.

haven't touched the Classics line but are they really 'happy meal crap'? Because those are the playmates "equivalent" of these revoltechs

Well, the Classics are definitely better than their standard stuff, in ways, but they still lack unique sculpts, have tons of accuracy flaws, the quality control is sub-par, etc. But I was mainly talking about their basic Nick figures. That stuff is happy meal crap half the time (not always, to be fair).

Oh the main line. That's kind of an inherently flawed comparison since revoltechs are collector's figures not meant for children and aren't marketed to them (though some still get them lol)... much like the Classics line

I mean the Japanese licenseholder is ****ing importing the playmates toys to japan for kids there and then theres the gacha toys, which do not even remotely match up to collector's stuff either.

Well I wasn't trying to make a comparison. I said that these, Revoltech, are the figures worth investing in. That's it.

then that just kind of goes without saying, it's like comparing one of those vinyl Kamen rider figures with an SHF, you dont even need to say anything

Looks like folks in Japan are starting to see these in stores or whatever. A turtle fan from over there posted this to Tumblr just now-

Well, for four+ times the price, I would hope the Revoltechs would be better .

I'm happy to see an adult collector focused line for the 2012 Turtles, the Playmates stuff is more like the original line - limited paint and articulation but still great sculpts and overall fun toys.

That's just the thing - the Playmates 2012 Turtle figures are toys, not adult collectibles (although it's obviously a line enjoyed by people of all ages). I'm not expecting Revoltech quality for $9.

The Revoltechs are looking pretty great, though, especially in these packaged pics, but they're not perfect either - some of those exposed ball joints sure are ugly (as are the face lines), and they're pretty tiny for what you are paying. Interested to get these in hand, these will be my first Revoltech figures.

Not yet! Late September on Amiami tends to mean the last few days of the month.

Just got my payment notification for Raph & Leo.

And... PAID! EMS I'll probably use SAL for Don and Mikey though.

Yay.

So this is it guys. If you did not order Raph and Leo yet, If you do so now they should ship within the next few days.

I've already seen them sell out on amiami more than once but they have added more stock. It's possible stock will stay strong for a few months but who really knows?
