Does anyone know if an instrumental theme of the original series exists?
I've tried to find an actual instrumental version but it's just not the one from the show. I've wanted to find the actual instrumental for a while now or something very close to it. You might say, "there are many instrumentals recreated out there". I just don't think they sound all that good to be honest.
The closest there has been is one that was seen in a French NES Commercial but that's about it. The actual ending credits theme is just a remix and not the actual instrumental. Anyone, if you can help, that would be great! |

Have you tried simply finding the soundtrack?

Pretty much yes, could't find anything. I didn't even knew such a thing existed. I doubt they ever made an official soundtrack. I doubt they ever released an instrumental theme of the 80's tv series.

There isn't one.
None of the above exists.

Only one I can think of is an orchestral rendition of it, but as you said it's not the same.

Not as far as I know.
I think your best bet would be to use sound editing software to try and remove the voice from the theme song.

Wouldn't that require having an original file of it though, with the music and lyrics in it as separate tracks? And something from the 80s... good luck. Even if separate files of some sort existed out there, god knows what (possibly obsolete) format they're in.

But I swore some fan made some very good sound-alikes...

There has been no official soundtrack. An end credits version of the theme obviously exists but maybe that isn't what you are looking for?
To be honest there's very little info on the music used in the 80s TMNT. I certainly haven't seen Chuck Lorre or Dennis Brown sit down for an interview about it. |
