2018 Playmates Toys speculation thread, Rise of the TMNT

With the new show scheduled for a Fall 2018 premiere, I am thinking the toys will be here sooner than later. However the first day of Fall 2018 is about fourteen months away.

Does anyone remember when the current line hit the stores? Was it before or after the shows first episode?

I think the dude from sdcc said the first debut will be Feb at Toy Fair? So we have 6 months still unless leaks happen.

Yeah. We're supposed to get some information at NYCC, but it seemed like the actual design reveals may come in the form of their new figures at Toy Fair in February 2018. The show itself won't be out until September or October of that same year, but the toys will probably hit a little bit before then.

As seems to be the trend, I'm sure we can expect the first wave to look pretty nice & then gradually decline over time.

I expect this line to have the same quality as the Nick one. Maybe less since it's aimed at younger audiences.

I think the Nick figures originally hit in June or July of that year, before the show started.

It was July. My birthday is the 14th and they hit shelves just a few days before that.

According to the ole google machine September 29, 2012 was the premiere date. So then it sounds like the toys showed up a couple months before the show started. I'm not saying it's going to happen the same this time around, but it's good to know. And happy belated birthday dude.
