It wasn't because they didn't know about it. I made sure and honk the horn on it well in advance.

because IDW puts out the bare minimum effort.

have you seen the color job for the TMNT Color Classics?
it's some careless sloppy shigiggnett.

the Shredder Clones are each colored solid red, purple and blue.
Spoiler:

in color classic volume 1 (issues 1-11 and the micros) they colored Klunk grey.
then in color volume 2 issue #4 (what would have been Mirage #17) Klunk is orange, as he should be.

The coloring in the Image series has been excellent, it's really only the Vol. 1 coloring that was done poorly. The coloring for most of the Tales collections was good.

It often happens when a fan notifies a company in advance not to make a specific mistake that could be made and then the company makes it because they ignored the email or message.

Issue 23, the original final colorized issue, comes out next month. Man, I remember 2 years ago when they said all 23 issues would come out monthly thinking about how LONG it would be until they finished it all (we had to go through 23 months after all), before the conclusion. And now here we are! Time really flew by fast.

Is it? Isn't Diamond shut down now?

IDW's site still says April 2020:

https://www.idwpublishing.com/produc...an-legends-23/

But maybe this isn't updated, so who knows.

Apparently some companies are going to start publishing through online avenues only so comics may still continue, just not in printed form till COVID-19 is gone.

I guess issue 23 never came out, did it. I guess there's some irony here that we reached issue 23 AGAIN and the series got canceled/put on hiatus again at the same spot as 25+ years ago.

No, according to my LCS, the last comics from Diamond were for 26th March. Anything after is postponed for now.

I wouldn't worry. A lot of work was commissioned so this will see the light of day. To do otherwise would be counterproductive.

With how much I'm enjoying this volume, I'm so happy they're returning to this. If they have more ideas, I wouldn't mind even more new stories. It's not exactly everything I want in a turtles comic but it's pretty close.
