I dislike the candyland in the last part of the film, so I hope there's none of that in the sequel. And a more serious villain pls.

You didn't like Turbo/King Candy? That dude was maniacal! Plus it's Disney, so I dunno what it is you're expecting. I mean if you're hoping for a 90's style baddie like Jafar or Scar I'm with ya there, but if you're hoping for that shape-shifting android from Terminator 2 or Leonardo DiCaprio's character in Django Unchained you're gonna be sadly disappointed.

Entertainment Weekly looked back on how inventive the first film was.

King Candy feels too kiddie and childish, nothing serious or have any weight at all. Give me someone like Maleficent or Jafar, heck someone twisted like Hans would be great too.
I'm okay with Turbo though. |

The revealing of Turbo's true identity was great to me, I remember how Everyone was shocked and all. I hope the sequel does not turn out to be a failure.

The original is one of my favourite films. It was a great love letter to video games. It was interesting to see things from a villain's perspective.

Alan Tudyk does not know if he will be returning to voice King Candy in this film.

I agree, a new villain is best.

Imagine if they have someone as charismatic and powerful like Jennifer Sauder's Fairy Godmother. She's a fine villain indeed.

The superbly talented Jodi Benson (The Little Mermaid, Toy Story) and James Corden, who gave a great performance in Into the Woods, have joined the cast.

I am glad that they got Jodi Benson but I wonder who she will be playing.

I just saw the original for the first time this January and I liked it and thought it was cute but I didn't love it like I thought it would since the internet really hyped it up in general and it didn't live up to my expectations. I've always loved the concept of getting inside "technology" so this was right up my alley. I hope the sequel is good but I'm not super excited for it either.

I'm excited what games will be featured in this movie. Maybe Sonic & Eggman will return again?

Loved the first one, glad there's gonna be another. More nerdy game-related in-jokes please.

compared to some of the recent disney films, Candy was pretty vile. especially in the fact where he literally ruined everything.
