Couldn't they also move the ABC stuff to their streaming service?

ABC, Freeform, all animated and live action movies that are currently in the "Disney Vault"...it could be huge.

Same. Been convinced of that ever since Legion and Gifted were announced. But announcing that would distract from Avengers 3 and 4.

You guys are really certain about this, I hope you're right.

The FF, Dr. Doom, the Silver Surfer and Galactus would be the perfect additions to the MCU for Phase 4 and beyond

I'm not saying Fantastic Four characters and cosmic marvel wouldn't be great for Phase 4 but not at the expense of Disney owning Fox, this will take a toll on creativity for decades, nerd boners are not worth it, take an economics 101 class.

I'm more than OK with Marvel being allowed to make more of their Marvel properties into movies that they control. I do wonder what the greater ramifications seen though, for non-Marvel stuff... but maybe those aren't so negative either. What would entirely different higher-ups do with, say, the Alien franchise?

Disney is still #1 in the bidding war.

I shudder to think of what will happen to Kingsman 3 if Disney is in control.

Almost undoubtedly nothing at all. They wouldn't put it out under the Disney banner.

Or they could just have one of their subsidiaries release it.

Like, people need to realize that a lot of movies are "Disney" movies if traced back to parent companies. Kill Bill is a Disney movie.

Disney have done some right by Marvel, like locking out the comics division from meddling with the movies.

They seem to be micro-managing Star Wars to a divisive degree however.

As far as mutants go, I think it could be done but they'd have to approach it carefully. I wouldn't want them to introduce mutants and retcon things so that they've always been around, with mutants dating back to ancient times (sorry not sorry, Apocalypse). I think introducing mutant evolution would work better as a story set in present-day, but then still I would think they'd need to spend a lot of time thinking about whether they really wanted to introduce them to the MCU because they carry so much baggage with them. A lot of their mutation-based powers make no sense and that's one area in which I have trouble with extending my suspension-of-disbelief.

I did always like this alternate take on the X-men mythos though

I think one of two ways. There's supposedly a lot of reality altering stuff, multiversal kind of things going on in one or both of the next Avengers movies with Thanos... it is possible at some point things could get fractured and POOF, guess who's been around since forever? Mutants.

Or maybe they include a scene of the X-Men coming in for a big save at the end of Avengers 4, and that being their big "we are mutants, we are among you!" unveiling. And suddenly the world realizes what's been going on at Xavier's mansion/school for all of these decades. Hell, maybe SHIELD or Hydra-SHIELD even knew about them, kept them on watch lists.

The Marvel Studios tone/style would actually work really well for the FF.
