Since when was the 4kids series slated to air on Kids WB instead of 4kids?

That said, prototypes are considered upper-rung collectibles not being mass produced. They are generally too expensive for me to consider, though if I feel it and see potential, I may grab one or more.

Since always...it was originally going to be on Kids WB but they changed it for some reason.

Man....that's freaking amazing. I need to commission someone to make me one!!! Might you divulge what you paid? My current original figure line is missing only a few figures...my eyes are moving to prototypes.... My wife will love that!

I wonder...in Star Wars Droids series (failed animated series) there was also an Uncle Gundy...

Picked up the Killer Ant unpainted hardcopy quite a few years back as part of a large lot of prototypes so i can't put a specific dollar amount for what i paid for it specifically. In any case, you can still pick up prototypes for TMNT and most other toylines for pretty reasonable prices...it's only vintage Star Wars prototypes that are insanely expensive.

And yes Uncle Gundy was a character from the Droids series

This is my favorite thread in the forum right now. I wish I had some photos to share. So far my favorites are the early 2000 prototype Leo, and the Cyber Samurai Rocksteady. Amazing stuff overall. It would be nice to see some of these released as new figures, but I doubt there would be interest for Playmates to do such a thing.

Here are some concept drawings/sketches for the unproduced Killer Ant/Army Ant unpainted hardcopy i posted a picture of at the start of the thread:

It started off here as "Giant Ant" with a Rotten Picnic Theme before taking on an even menancing look as the "Army Ant"

Above is an early version before it was refined to the final version here:

This Killer Ant/Army Ant was just one unproduced piece that was meant to be made for the 1990/1991 Mega Mutants line of which we only saw Needlenose and Killer Bee finally produced

Other unproduced concepts included Exterminator/Undertaker Spider and Buzzard Bomber

Here's a color stat i have for the Undertaker Spider:

p.s. yes i'm the same Uncle Gundy on Rebelscum

I've accumulated these from a variety of sources over the years, including eBay and from dealers like Hollywood Heroes (aka the "Toyhunter", Jordan H.)

Here's an unpainted hardcopy from the next mutation series:

And here's a Dwarf Don unpainted hardcopy from the Warriors of the Fogotten Sewer series:
