Wasn't big fan of the first movie (rather horrid second part of it), so don't have big expectations for the second one.

I agree with the above sentiments, that most likely this sequel will be embodiment of "How do you do fellow kids?" with references to the outdated stereotypes and memes.

My main issue would be the same problem I have with most modern Disney animated movies(and not just Disney) is the overuse of the "Hidden Villain"/ "The Wold in Sheep's Clothing". While I would have preferred they did more with video games especially console games, I just happy that this one even got a sequel at all.

I really don't think this had anything to do with Disney's decision to have Paige O'Hara returning to voice Belle in this film, but I do wonder if they realized that if Warner Bros. had Julie Newmar and Lee Meriwether, who are both much older than O'Hara, voice Catwoman in their 80's for animated Batman films, then Paige could surely still do Belle's voice in her 60's. Even though Newmar's voice really didn't age well I could still somewhat hear the classic Catwoman from the classic TV series. .

In 2011, Disney had the voice actresses for the Disney Renaissance Princesses re-audition for their roles because the recording technology was being more advanced. Paige O'Hara had to work the hardest of all because her voice had changed the most over the course of 20 years. They eventually decided to have Julie Nathanson replace Paige. Although Paige was upset about it at first, she eventually accepted this because change is inevitable. I'm still very happy they are having her doing this movie along with the many other talented women.

However, I don't think Disney bothered asking Mary Costa, who is in her late 80's, to do Aurora's voice for this film. Back when she was recording for Sleeping Beauty in the 1950's, she had to do a mid-Atlantic/somewhat English accent while doing the character's speaking voice because she was from Tennessee. Plus, she is not still active in the entertainment industry like Newmar and Meriwether are. Two years ago, she penned an open letter to fans saying she would not longer directly replay to fan-mail. She would, however, continue to sign at autograph events while focusing on teaching kids about music and other things.

Disney has now shortened the title to Ralph Breaks the Internet. The release date of November 21, 2018, hasn't changed.

That's good. Though I wish it was titled Ralph Wrecks The Internet.

Admittedly a far superior title...

A new photo of Vaneloppe spending time with the Princesses has been released. They don't show Aurora, Belle, Jasmine and Merida in casual clothing. There probably just wasn't room.

Well that is cute.

Love the "just let it go" and poison apple T-shirts.

I am surprised they waited this long to let her announce that she is in the movie.

So it looks like they will be some more videogame stuff in this one then I thought there would be.

I am loving the shirts with Aurora's saying Nap Queen and Merida's with a picture of a bear that says "mum" underneath it.

I know that I brought this up in the Disney Princess thread, but I really am looking forward to hearing Paige O'Hara as Belle in this film again. Meeting her earlier this year along with Jodi Benson and Linda Larkin at Fan Expo Dallas was a moment I won't forget. When I see this film in theaters and hear her voice coming from Belle, it will be an important time in my life. This November will mark exactly 10 years since I was cyber-bullied by an extremely arrogant and shallow person. He really was exactly like Gaston, but everyone else thought he was the greatest guy in the entire world. Not including her father, Belle was the only person in her village to see him for who he truly was. After that unfortunate situation in my life, it made me love Belle and Beauty and the Beast even more than I did before. I shared that story with Paige and she was touched by it.

Not to mention Pixar's also look generic and pretty much all CG movies copied Pixar's animated look down to a t. Pixar still has that magic but they're not untouchable as they used to be and Disney CG films have become great as well and plenty of generic stuff from both now too.
