I don't believe that at all. If there was a press release as that site claims it would be all over the internet.

The story about reshoots comes from a prank site.

Below that story there's a link to an article about Tupac Shakur's comeback album.

who?

Sorry, just wanted to see jaws drop. more of a beach boys fan/disco fan ;o).

at this point, Star wars is such a mess with kathleen kennedy in charge, I wouldn't doubt ANY weird thing that comes out now.

it has a small chance of being true.

It appears that Emperor Palpatine might be in The Last Jedi based on a Lego Toy.

Mike Zeroh is a f*cking retard and has ZEROH credibility. His "leaks" are laughed at by every serious community including MSW, who is the best source for leaks.

it's pretty weird that disney is airing a star wars trailer during football of all things, and a pay network like ESPN no less.

Most nerds don't care about football. why not air it during NYCC and get alot more press?

oh, that's right. Di$ney abandoned that for their own stuff.

smh.

Disney owns ESPN.
Why waste the trailer at nycc when they already have the nerds' wallets? Better to go for the mainstream crowd.

Let's see if this trailer can get me hyped, cuz right now I ain't feelin' it. (And yet Disney knows they have my money anyway...)

Exactly. There's no need to market this to the people that are already going opening weekend.

They premiered the TFA trailer during MNF two years ago too.

I remember them putting the trailer for ROTS with an episode of the OC back in 2005.

Because anyone who is remotely "nerdy" already knows that Star Wars is coming out. The people who doggedly watch football and don't spend time in that area of the Internet/social culture need "reminding" that the next Star Wars is coming, and a 2-minute trailer is a great way of doing that.

perhaps. but if you aren't already aware of star wars, and don't bother with it, is a two minute trailer going to change your mind and say 'NOW I have to see this?' I just don't see many football fans caring one way or another that they'd give it a second thought.

I can understand what is being said, but the logic of it seems kind of iffy to me.

"Oh hey, a new Star Wars is coming out. I don't usually pay attention to movies but maybe I'll see that one. It has Luke from when I was a kid."

The trailer is going to be online 5 minutes after it airs anyway, Disney isn't nesting it in a ball game to alienate the geeks.
