Scotty Fields is making another attempt to get this film made. A new crowdfunding campaign has been set up here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/n...hers-film--2#/

That's waaaay too many characters for what will probably be a short fan film. I appreciate the drive and dedication but I would've started with the basics and if money allowed, work other characters into the sequels.
I would've loved to see a web series of "Fight the Foot". There were a few problems here and there but the look and tone was pretty cool. Better than most live action fan films I've seen but too bad it never continued. Last edited by Sabacooza; 09-17-2016 at 09:53 AM. |

So last time, he started an Indiegogo campaign for $30,000.00 but only got $1,000.00... kept it... and now is asking in a second Indiegogo campaign for $40,000.00 to finish what is a short film? Seems dubious to me. And asking for that much money might be flying to close to the sun with Paramount/Viacom. We saw how much TPTB loved that with the "Star Trek: Axanar" people.
And of course, it's sort of awkward timing. If he'd ramped this up before "Out of the Shadows," I could see it being a more alluring to the "Classic" fans who were eagerly waiting to get their damn Bebop, Rocksteady and Krang movie... but now they already have that movie. So the prospect of funding this? Eh. That Leatherhead looks cool, though.

The makers of Blood Brothers were at Meltdown Comics and posted this pic.
https://twitter.com/BloodBrosTMNT/st...24400495529985 I doubt Bryan Cranston has anything to do with this fan film, But it's cool seeing him along with Leonard Maltin next to the Fugitoid. |

The costumes are cool and all, but. Finances are doing poorly, and now they want to go from short movie to web series.
Even if they where successful on getting the funds for it, they are flying dangerously close to the copyright-sun. |

Given that they have so many characters, I rather it be a web series.

sure, with clustersmaus of characters they've maid suits of, a short movie wouldn't be sufficient enough. But unless they're gonna pay more out of their own pockets beyond costume making and not rely on Indigogos, that's not going to happen anytime soon.

If they do it as a web series, I don't think it would be 30 minutes for each episode, but shorter.

You'd be lucky if this whole thing is even 30 minutes.

With this having so many characters, I bet most of the characters will just show up in small cameos.
It would have to be a web series if those characters get more screen time. I also wonder if this version of Armaggon will be the one from the future like in the Archie comic. |

Most likely cause that's where he originated from. I definitely want him to come out of his spacesuit at some point |

This guy's vision is both so grand & so narrow simultaneously. It's like he has no idea what he's doing beyond adding a thousand characters. & he'll owe this thing's continued failure to launch to that very issue. It needs to be scaled down & grounded in order to realistically occur with some semblance of flow, otherwise it's just gonna be like one of those credit sequences in an SNES game where they introduce the character sprites one by one.
Don't get me wrong, I look forward to seeing what he does. It's nice work, & I respect his obvious love/enthusiasm for the property & this project alike. It's just hard to watch the process be seemingly willy-nilly.
