One thing that struck me about that final page is that the imagery very much resembles that of a human sacrifice. Why would Kitsune require the sword for the ritual unless she plans to use it on someone to bring Saki/the Dragon back from the dead with the victim's life force? Might that someone be Karai herself? Not only is she a descendant of Saki's, she also proved her worth as a potential sacrifice by retrieving the sword in the first place. Hmm...

Good point. The early drawings show a potential showdown between Karai and Ocho, maybe for just that reason.

It would play well into the ot as presented and it's odd how Ocho comes with the sword and is waiting with Kitsune. Ocho has been playing Karai all along.

Maybe in issue 100, we will have a showdown Karai+Splinter+Leonardo vs Kitsune+Ocho+the Dragon.

If Saki comes back to life, I could see him betray Kitsune in the middle of the fight and join Karai + Splinter for a last stand. If he comes back, I do think it won't be for long.

So many ways this could shake out, and all of them sound so good... The IDW crew is spoiling us.

That maybe I can see but maybe it'll be Takeshi Tatsuo.
Granted SiH 5 hasn't come out yet

, and that maybe would've given some good insight. With that said, if what we've seen in SiH so far is gonna stick, maybe Saki comes back and stops what's happening. Far-fetched maybe, and without #5 out all details are hazy still.

I’m surprised none of the random mutants were cameos of established mutant characters. I mean we know Mona Lisa appears in issue 101 so i’m surprised we didn’t see her in the background somewhere.

They could have thrown in some cameos of unused mutants this series like Rahzar or Groundchuck/Dirtbag or something.
