Didn't Marvel try to buy the TMNT property back in the early 90s? I wonder how things would be today if it had turned out that way...

The franchise would be bottom of the barrel for Marvel.

Spiderman, X-men, the Avengers would all get star support and TMNT would be this third or fourth-tier franchise Marvel owns.

Maybe it'd have been better if a company like Dark Horse o Vertigo acquired it?

Ironically, given his comments on comic books, a TMNT movie by Synder probably wouldn't be so bad.

Assuming if Batman v. Superman did any better than OotS at box office.

In terms of movies Marvel doesn't have the rights to X-Men and depending on who you believe it impacts how Marvel treats the comics which are not one of their top priorities anymore (then again I would say that was true well before the MCU was a thing).

If Marvel did own TMNT I don't think it would struggle in movies or comics.

Doesn't Marvel cancel comics that sell below 50,000 or so? IDW TMNT only sells on average 16,000-20,000 copies an issue, I don't think TMNT's sales would be much different if Marvel was doing the comic.

A TMNT comic from Marvel would likely sell better than any from IDW just by virtue of the fact of it being published by Marvel.
