Don't EVER try to talk kids' movies that can or can't be taken seriously with a parent, kiddo. All of those have heart, can be taken seriously, and are intelligent, competently-written movies.
I think you're slightly confused. You just listed several movies that proved my point. You can talk about kids films in the same vein as serious films but those are not synonymous terms was my point. So, thanks for agreeing?

How?? You're the one who basically said kids' movie shouldn't try to be serious, and he listed movies aimed at kids, but featured some serious themes and plot points.

I think I was accused of that a few pages ago. Even I'm not that foolish.

speaking of cameos - does anyone know (link to interview perhaps) why Judith Hoag even agreed to her (cut) cameo in OOTS?

she went on record regarding the first film saying it was too violent, and left the franchise - now shes back because...?

i suppose the obvious answer would be money - but seriously tho? why return to a franchise you left for personal/moral reasons? I thought the action in the original SB was tame...but Judith Hoag thought it was too much, I can only imagine what she thought of the action now.

PLEASE link me to that exact comment I made. Or did you just "basically" assume I did?

Mutually exclusive means that 2 things cannot coexist. Ergo, you have said that kids movies cannot be taken seriously and serious movies cannot be for kids.

Please refer back to my list of kids movies that prove you wrong.

Who else was disappointed when...

Spoiler:
...Krang froze Shredder and put him inside the Technodrome like his own personal action figure? I'd have liked to have seen them both fight the Turtles together. Maybe in the sequel we'll get to see that?

I was, I was hoping the turtles were going to fight Shredder. I also wanted them to fight Bebop and Rocksteady more. I also wanted a a 1 on 1 fight between Leo and Karai.

I guess as they did fight Shredder in the last movie, Bay or Green wanted something different and wanted the turtles to fight Krang instead

Yup. A wasted opportunity. Anticlimactic.

I agree, Vicky. I was hoping for this too.
