Cheapskate (original release only!)
Turtle Blimp Toilet Taxi Party Wagon Pizza Thrower Anybody else ever notice this? "Mutant Module" was also the name used for the little flying bug enemies in the arcade game, and they actually appear from inside a "tubular transport" which was the obvious basis for the toy vehicle. Just a weird bunch of mix-up going on there. |

Technodrome Scout Vehicle is one of the few I never have owned. Honestly I'm not sure I ever even saw it in stores. Kinda wish I had one now.

Wow mikey0 you love a "top" thread
I think I only ever owned 5 vehicles. 1 = Foot Cruiser. Loved and still love this vehicle to this day. I asked for the Party Wagon for Christmas but it was sold out so my parents got me this instead. 2 = Footski. A bona fide classic. 3 = Cheap Skate. My second ever TMNT toy (after the Mouser). Had a Cheap Skate before a Turtle lol. 4 = Psycho Cruiser. Loved the vulture that this came from. 5 = Pizza Thrower. Picked this up at a toy sale during the Turtle boom. Launches pizzas. Cool! Honorable mention to the Party Wagon. Always dreamed of owning it as a kid. Got mine own one off eBay a couple of years ago at a very reasonable price!

I'm very lucky I was able to get my Technodrome new from my local toy store (back when those existed here). The memory is pretty strong; freaking out when I saw it, completely taken by surprise -- I had no idea they would ever attempt to make such a thing. My poor dad (notoriously frugal) was completely at a loss to comprehend why it was such a big deal to me, let alone what it even was.

Technodrome
Party Wagon Pizza Thrower Mutant Module Sewer Lair The Party Wagon was the only one I had as a kid. It got second because nothing is beating the drome, but it went on lots of adventures with my turtles and me.

I can't make a top 5 because I don't think I ever really had five vehicles. I always concentrated on the figures. I had the sewer playset and a few small things but they didn't capture my imagination for some reason. BUT even if I'd had every vehicle I can say with 100% certainty that my number one would be
1. Pizza Thrower This is just one of the most fun vehicles ever made and my favorite Christmas present of all time. I used to set up all my Ninja Turtles and Battle Beasts in the entryway of our house and spend hours shooting them down. I'd bet 80% of the paint wear on my figures is just from doing this. Come to think of it, the vehicle is one of only two vintage pieces I've got on display. It will always be a very special reminder of my childhood. |
