Positive News Stories

An overwhelming majority of news stories are negative one way or another. It has been noted many times how the Current Events section has become a celebrity obituary section as well. I thought we could have a thread to post positive, uplifting stories to counter some of that. I was touched by this article for example.

Comment of this story or post another positive, uplifting news article.

Well that is a pretty uplifting story, and attention-grabbing enough; that cat must be one hell of a survivor, not to mention a dog most loyal to a family.
I guess the problem with bad news is that it's what sells and/or grabs the most attention, & people do like acknowledging/paying tributes to celebrities they knew and those in turtle fandom see this as a good venue to do so, and probably a lot of celebrity stories that aren't about a passing or a centennial birthday are either gossip, cliched, or probably belong in the TV/Movie section here, and of the course the main TMNT forums for TMNT-celebrity news. But that's just my thoughts, I could be wrong.

Good idea and I agree that we need more stories like this not only here but on the news in general these days.

I thought this was a good time to revive the thread.

I saw this on my Yahoo! feed. A Mali immigrant saves a 4 year old dangling from a banister in Paris, France. President Marcone offered him full citizenship and a job. The child's father was charged with child endangerment and neglect.

Let's seem some more positive news.

A two year old went missing for two days only to be lead home by her grandmother's dog. Aside from a tick bite or two and dehydrated she was fine.

Whale populations are rebounding significantly.

More now today than when Moby Dick was written. And an interesting side note similar to that...
