Would the show even look good on Blu-Ray?

I recently went through a couple of season 1 episodes on DVD, I have a pretty optimal set-up with a PS4 and a decent TV. There was someone here who'd like to purchase the series on Blu-Ray but hasn't because there aren't any Blu-Rays of this show. However, after re-watching episodes on DVD I question wheter or not the show would look good on Blu-Ray.

I noticed that textures typically looked pretty plastic and blurry in close-up shots. Not to mention that the faked assets (Matte paintings? I don't know what to call them) are way more obvious, don't quite in the way they're supposed to. Problems like these can't be because of my set-up or even the quality of the DVD, they're just there regardless and might actually be worse on Blu-Ray.

No it wouldn't be worse on Blu-Ray because it was made in HD to begin with. They simply compressed it to fit on DVD therefore degrading the quality so yes, we would benefit from a Blu-Ray release.

Has anyone compared the HD quality to the DVDs?

I downloaded what is supposed to be the 1080p versions and there definitely is a difference but oddly enough, they're not true 1080p so it doesn't look super crisp like most Blu-Rays.

I think it's slightly less width wise so it's not full 1920p

It would look great on Blu-Ray since the show was made in HD, I been watching the show in HD on Nickelodeon ever since.

Season 1's animation in particular is probably going to age the worst as the years go on. I remember a lot of criticism when the show first started of the CG "looking like a PS2 game" which we know is nonsense, but still it did give off a videogame-y vibe for a while.

The animation for the Nick cartoon seemed to have gotten a boost around mid-Season 2 I recall, and then again at the beginning of Season 4.

It depents on the resolution of your tv/monitor. On my monster PC that i ugpraded recently cpu ram and motherboard and now is

I already killed Yoshi in real life there is no reason to kill him again in a video game.
