Flumphs??!! OMG, I didn't think I'd EVER see anyone use those in a campaign! Your game sounds both fun and challenging.
Unfortunately, we got back so late from the mom-in-law's last night that we ended up canceling today's game, but I still plan to do some sort of Halloween themed one-off adventure.

We didn't have a full Halloween-theme (Curse of Strahd, after all), but I would call making friends with the skeleton rider, fighting a scarecrow, and then four disembodied hands in Baba Lasaga's hut a "Halloween" game.
And also the first steps of the Wagon Cat getting loose in the Vistani camp We also wore costumes. (Mine is on my Instagram

Sounds Halloween-ish enough for me! Speaking of which(witch?), I really need to post some of the pics of my patio display for this year. Bigger, better, more!!

Today on the Curse of Strahd, we went to the manor of the Silver Dragon people (so many names, I forgot them all...). We reconnected with our skeleton friend, helped him find his true identity, helped him and his undead find peace, read Strahd's journal that we snatched out of Baba Lasaga's hut among many other things, and continued to confirm that Strahd is an incel.

Today we're having a break in our usual Changeling game to test out Pathfinder 2, our old DM who left us for greener pastures had a open Saturday so he's the DM and we're gonna do a one-shot with pregen characters since none of the players have read the PF2 rules. |

Oh my gosh, between raiding Baba Lasaga's hut AND Rictavio's wagon, my group is...absolutely loaded (over 6000 g...and nothing to do with it because Barovia sucks)
Which works for my character, Tami, since she's a business owner in Waterdeep. We raided the wagon after Rictavio's sabertooth cat got loose and attacked the Vistani camp.

Strahd an incel??!! That explains SO much, ROFL!!!
As for our own game, we are supposed to be getting a new member this werkend, (roomate/third partner of two of our regulars) so I don't know how that will go, but we'll see. I've met her once (a TMNT fan, so not all bad, I guess), but have no idea what kind of player she might be- not a complete noob, but hasn't played since 3.5 was new..... Anyway, I started thinking of some suitably ghoulish ideas, and a Baba Lasaga (or Yaga??) hut mini-adventure sounds perfect! So I will update after the game tomorrow. Hopefully, this will be both a fun and somewhat creepy session....

Baba Lasaga seems to be an homage to Baba Yaga, since most of Barovia is just...all Eastern European homage.
In fact, Valaki is even based on a real place that Vlad the Impaler came from - Wallakia! (And I...realized that on my own, thanks Drunk History...) Though when it comes to Baba Lasaga, I always think of this

ROFL!!
Well, after today's session, they managed to make it inside the hut, with Lysaga outside flying around in her skull-thing, cursing at them and sending swarms of bugs to harrass them. They got slapped around a bit by the hut's tree roots, but nothing they couldn't handle. What's going to be more fun is when they start getting harried by animated brooms and such. (Yes, I am adding a bit of Sorcerer's Apprentice in for giggles.... Also, I am adding an animated brazier, a la Willow, just because I can, lol!)
