Not sure if anyone has said this yet, but there was more to the story than "people drew porn."
The images are gross and uncomfortable to me and many others, a lot of people are saddened by it, but here's my thing. I don't care. While i don't like the pics, it is somewhat of a given that any production can and will have someone on the crew making erotic art. It already happened with TMNT and that one imfamous issue.

So with that praface outta the way, I think the problem is that one staff member in particular was trying to manipulate a fan of unknown age into shipping incest. It wasn't two people just bonding over a ship. It was a staff member trying to make this fan "get over" their distain for incest shipping. A lot of the staff member's bragging on the anon account was rather creepy.
Some people don't like to ship incest. Some do. Some people are a bit more whiny than others. But you're entitled to your opinion. While I'm not a fan of the fandom recoiling in disgust and exploding over the images, I'm also not a fan of things that this one staff member had said, as they were very vocally complaining about "anti (shipping) culture" and the idea that some people just don't wanna ship incest.

I've hardly seen anyone bring it up. But to me? The pictures aren't a problem so much as they're a piece of the bigger picture. The problem is the manipulation here, there's just something unsettling. Something more than fandom drama, it does make me wonder if this staff member has done this before or will again, and if they've gotten further, and how far they can go playing this game. I kinda get the feeling that they weren't trying to kindly open the person's mind to different content, but maybe that there was a larger sexually predatory motive here? There was a power dynamic at play here. Of course you wanna please a person you look up to...It just ignites a big yikes for me.

Wow, that is cringy as heck. At that point I'm glad I didn't go looking to find out more, because it's probably better to just not know the full details. All I want to know is that they were not targeting a minor, because either way that's messed up, but if this was a kid?? Then maybe it's staff bootin' time.

It's kind of ironic since Nick has tried to bring the hammer down on this place or members on it on occasion over things posted or said that they didn't like (understandably), but then, what, now you've got someone "official" trying to abuse a fan? Huh.

I don't like the incest stuff and I hate the sheer amount there seems to be of it in fandom in general anymore (I mean wtf, really), and I will never get why some find it appealing, though I don't condemn them for being into whatever they are into... but trying to force it on someone in an attempt to make them "accept" it -- and for what, to feel validated that your own interest in it isn't weird? -- isn't okay.

Though it sounds pretty clear that this isn't just one person who did a random thing, but someone who was already into the incest "shipping" already when they got hired... Wonder what they'll go do it with next after this show ceases to exist...

Really though, it better not have been targeted at a kid.

I can't find the age of the fan. I do have a lot of the evidence on hand though. Not sure if I should link it, since there are (mostly censored) screenshots of the images in question, especially in the compilation of this one particular staff member going on about their desires.

Overall, there were eight known staff members drawing porn. One who spoke about it and made it very apparent who they were, the same one who had unsavory interactions with a fan. Pretty much it was just this one moefoe who outted the whole group because they were cocky as hell and spoke very openly about who they were on their NSFW account.

I like this quote. Seems like the context matters, but you could argue, the context doesn’t matter.

Some people feel strongly that straight men are homophobic if they don’t date trans. There are tons of threads calling men out for being turned off.

For me, it’s part of the same rational. There are lines drawn in sand, but they seem to move with the tide.

Surprising that it's so many of them. (Is all of it incest art?) Really would have been smarter of them to wait to share that stuff until after the show has ended and, for at least the one, not act like an asshat. If Nick catches wind and doesn't like this happening on their watch... ah well.
