Oh, his ass isn't leaving that place early, that much I'm sure of. Barring a smoking gun - and unless he's as stupidly paranoid as Nixon, we're probably not getting something that concrete - that leaves no one able to protect him, Republicans aren't impeaching their parties President, whether they like him or not.

His re-election chances are harder to predict. Hindsight is 20/20, but 2016 really was a perfect storm for him to be elected. He's not even super popular with conservatives and the displaced factory workers in the Rust Belt - the low key MVP's of putting him the White House - are starting to sound like they're realizing the "outsider" they took a gamble on won't help them either and are giving up. He's got incumbency going for him, as going by history they are typically re-elected, but history would also say a guy like him never would have made it where he did, so who knows. It depends a lot on who they field; if the Democrats try Hillary again, he's got a great shot, anyone else and it's a toss up.

To be honest, I'm not. This administration is a circus, with positions starting to seem like a revolving door. The only surprising thing to me is that it was this soon, but it looks like that's down to the new Chief of Staff.

Kind of annoying how he likes to go on about unemployment levels when he can't even hire people he'll keep or won't resign, as well as all the vacant positions he's supposedly still yet to fill.
