Another remake of Poltergeist? hell no, the remake sucked already! no need for another, the original is a quality horror film yet part 2 was reasonable but 3 and the remake both blew and flopped. Just let it rest in peace, move on and make new horror projects.

IT Chaper Two trailer looks good. I hope that scare from the beginning of the trailer delivers in the movie. I want to see something truly horrifying and not just an obvious CGI effect.

Found out that the Horror Bishoujo line (which consisted of Freddy vs Jason before) has expanded with Chucky, Tiffany, Pinhead, Micheal, Ash williams, and Edward Scissor Hands.

And while I had a few grips with Freddy and Jason, though I have grown to like Freddy's "ara ara" design I kind of like all the new ones besides Micheal.

Chucky looking like a barbie contrasts well to Buddi's design of something akin to Raggedy Ann/Andy
Fremale Pinhead is just great overall
Gothic Lolita Scossorhands is pretty much what I expected.
Ash looks nice.

And Tiffany looks REALLY nice, eat your heart out, Barbie.

Honestly I hope we get more. Bring on the loli jigsaw

Figured I'd watch Escape Room last night since I heard it's pretty good. It's not quite on the level of something like Saw with the death scenes but the rooms are pretty well done, especially the opening room where it goes from an office to a literal oven.

watching a little bit of pet semetary 2019.

So far, I don't like it.

Much as I like John Lithgow, he doesn't hold a candle to Herman Munster in the roll and not nearly as likeable.

Black Pascow hasn't been given ANYTHING to do yet. and he's nowhere near as creepy.

Some pretty horrible introductions, too... Ellie is the only one to find out about the Pet Semetary without the rest of the family. the movie just jumps right to it. including things like the Orinco trucks (making the road so close to the house that it's a jump scare now). Hell, Louis doesn't even meet Judd until after pascow gets hit, and you don't get the same friendship feeling this time around. just a creepy old neighbor hanging around the kids more than the adults.

I also didn't like the 'dream sequence'. The original movie makes it seem like it really happened. and that the Sour ground could REALLY be in the real world somewhere. this new version makes it all seem far too mystical. as if Zombies wasn't enough. It doesn't feel like it takes place on Earth in a small town.

So far, not really digging the changes. the new cast is OK enough... but something just feels low budget.

Definitely not into this. Seems like this time we are getting a completely 100% western grudge film, and it definitely feels like it. Waht made the original (by that I mean the original remake) really stand out is how it incorporated cultural shock into the fear of alienated isolation. Here, outside of 1 or 2 scenes, it looks like any other western horror film.
