Today's thing that's made me happy - realizing again how lucky I am to have stumbled upon a partner who loves me despite my flaws, who is unfailingly kind and supportive, who accepts my gender identity and orientation, and who never says douchey things to me.

Nice thread and good call too.
What got me happy was I posted a thread and actually got a few responses. It wasn't a public opinion vs. Michael Bay TMNT, toy info, or any of that. (Though I have responded to a few other threads like that.) It was just about a ceramic that I made. First actual attempt at a thread because I usually hang out on art sites so a forum is sorta new to me.

My kid sister showing me photos from her new job (she's an assistant animal handler at a breeding centre for guide dogs)... sooo much cute!

What makes me happy- went to see TMNT yesterday, then had my D&D game at the library today. Got to stay for half of the game before I had to leave because my mom was picking me up to go to my grandmother's place to see my cousin who just came down to visit while he's on leave from the Army. I'm so proud of him, because this is one of the boys whose parents were in and out of jail all through their pre-teen and teen years, and we helped raise them while we were living with my grandmother several years ago and she had custody of the boys. His brother's wife and little girl were also there, and my uncle (their dad) who got out of state pen about a year ago and has (finally!) got himself straightened out. Family gathering time!!
(And for those who are gamers or are familiar with RPG's- I'm playing a gnome wizard who is a pyromaniac alchemist. He likes to make things go boom. Today, we had our first combat encounter- and I roasted a crow that was attacking the party with another one and a hobgoblin. I also hit the hobgoblin with a magic missile....)

I went to a promo seminar with Joel Gertner at The Monster Factory and cut a promo that brought the house down. That was fun. They even had my wife help another guy who was struggling act out a scene. That was neat. That place is great.

My favorite wig have seen better days, I really suck at fixing wigs as well apparently.
But, I finally found the same wig on eBay, I think. Super cheap as well, so I'm buying one to see it it is the one, and if it is. I might buy another to have just in case. |
