It's the subtitle for Season 5, also a reference to Mirage, just in name only though. There doesn't seem to be a main plot in this season, as it's confirmed that the majority of the season will be multi-parters.

Man, literally every time we got info on new episode titles after Earth's Last Stand, I called them out as being fake, but was wrong every time.
Those sound fake as hell, but I'm in no way qualified to say so. |

So a name change to the show then? Has this been confirmed?

If it really is a "tales of" season, since they are including more mob episodes, I hope they also include a arc focused around escaping from general Griffin or some other government faction

They didn't ever free all the Utroms who were still under Kraang control, did they? I hope they finish that off along with the April's Mom plot, it'll probably be in the same episodes since they're linked.
Other than that and maybe de-mutating some of the other mutants who wanted to be humans again, there's not many other old plotlines other than wherever Newtralizer disappeared too. |

Really sad this is the last season but as long as it's "critically acclaimed" and ties up some loose story plots I'll be fine with it.
It's just a shame my dream of seeing a TMNT cartoon hit the 200 episode milestone might never be realized. I felt this was the best chance too. |

Yes, this series is ending, but they could always do specials or maybe a spin-off series if they want to.

Now they're saying that season 5 starts on March 19th, but it is subject to change again. Do not make me crazy Nick

I'm kinda glad they didn't make it to that milestone. Don't get me wrong, I've loved the series, but at the same time a lot of shows that do run that long tend to get stale and boring after a while.

There are so many TMNT stories to tell I could have seen it happen.

So why can't they be told in a new iteration? I was a huge fan of Smallville while in college, but at the same time I'm just as jazzed to see the current Supergirl revamp do a different take on Clark Kent.

I can't understand why they would cancel a show so successful.
Edit: At the rate it takes them to air episodes, that means season 5/this show won't end for another five years

They aren't canceling. They are bringing the current story to a close as the turtles are entering adulthood.
