Am I missing something? Why are people burning pictures of Tom Taylor? I thought he saw Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon as endgame which is a great thing.

That's precisely why they hate him. The people doing this believe Dick and Starfire should be endgame.

That pairing makes no sense. It was merely a plot device to remove Dick Grayson from the Robin identity and Gotham and never intended to be endgame. Dick Grayson needs to be grounded and it's the perfect relatable romance of children of two men who are close friends end up together. They also work well expanding on Dick's and Barbara's characters. It hurts Starfire as a character because that is all she is and the once and future Batman going around publicly with an alien does not feel right.

I was expecting something related to his insertion if woke ideology but the one thing he dies well is Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon's relationship.

I agree, the dude killed Jon Kent's popularity with his politics and now he can't be anything but a background character with no real focus because of how toxic he is. But other than that, Taylor's been the best Nightwing AND Batgirl/Oracle writer since pre-Infinity Crisis.

The biggest problem I had was dealing with a huge threat like Blockbuster II in about 14 issues while a serial killer runs lose in Heartless until the final issue. I now realize it was the game plan, but it seems the opposite of how the two threats should have been tackled. I mean Fallen Grayson could have happened when Blockbuster II was defeated and then let the Blockbuster II storyline move to the end.

I also felt that justifying Bea Bennett was unnecessary as it's best to leave the Ric Grayson story forgotten.

Dan The Didot is invited back to 'kill' Dick Grayson during Infinite Crisis just like he wanted to all those years ago.

Tini Howard's run on Catwoman is finally ending in September.

And from the looks of things, Zdarsky is starting to add a lighter touch to the Batman comics starting this week

Spoiler:
Bruce discovers Zurr has a hidden fortune and uses it to create a second home for himself and the Bat-Family, Pennyworth Manor. He and Selina also reconcile

Does anyone else not consider Amanda Waller, Maxwell Lord villains? The reason I ask this is the latest company-wide story has Amanda Waller attempting to depower heroes in Absolute Power. My thought was, she is a company-wide threat? She is a plainclothes civilian who can threaten a few C level villains. Noble intentions misdirected and not a villain.

It reminded me of Maxwell Lord's sudden heel turn and how that one moment seems to have defined him. He is aattention- seeker, but golden hearted individual who is a plainclothes individual who interacts with costume heroes. No villain, even after a sudden heel turn is he someone that is considered a villain let alone a threat to the whole DCU. I will never take a story seriously with either depicted as a villain. Throwing Amanda Waller into every ongoing suddenly only discredit her more.

Awhile ago the Waid/Mora pair was removed from Shazam book they launched to plan out a Justice League of America relaunch. As expected it would be announced at SDCC. Here is the first preview.

I also dropped information/commentary on the current Green Lantern title in its own thread.

Should not have switched out 2006 after 30 years to begin with.

Is the JSA book by Lemire meant to take the Geoff John's book's place?

I loved last year's weekly miniseries, but apart of it was the old school fun and character set. I did not like Damian being involved and the Reyes Blue Beetle having a small role since they are not classic characters tok away from it a little. This looks like it's rolled back to just feature Damian and Zantanna along with Batman and Santa Claus. It will likely still be interesting.
