This is why we should move forward with cloning. Disney could have the perfect young Han with the power of clones.

Movie is bound to be awful. There's no way this actor can capture the mannerisms of Harrison Ford. I don't know what they were thinking.

I like the idea of Woody Harrelson being in a Star Wars movie, Maybe his character was a smuggler before.

So we have a "young" Han Solo who looks older than Han Solo did in the first movie, not to mention he doesn't look anything like Harrison Ford in the first place.
Who thought this was a good idea? |

wtf kind of tag is "autism awareness" for this thread?
Anyway.... is anyone in the world looking forward to this? Didn't we just say goodbye to Han Solo? |

That's what also I don't like. If they're already recasting Harrison Ford in a prequel-ish movie, what's to stop them from doing the same and recasting Luke and Leia for future movies?
At this point they could set a movie between episode 6 and 7 when Luke/Han/Leia are all in their 30's-40's. |

Yeah, it all stinks. We lucked out with Rogue One being as good as it was, but otherwise I think the Disney buyout is waayyyy worse to SW than the prequels were, and these anthology films are a big part of that.

My thoughts exactly, I've written about it many times about it. No one wants a young han solo film while Ford is still alive, there's literally hundreds of movies they can make about SW and they go for the cheap nostalgia route for the first two spin-offs?

To be fair those rumors about a Yoda or Boba Fett movie sounded equally horrible. I wouldn't be surprised if they do make them eventually though.
An Obi-wan film between episodes 3 and 4 with the actor from the prequels reprising his role is what most people seem to want on other sites. |

Yeah, hard to get too excited about this. It's like, oh look, Millennium Falcon and Han and Chewie again... I guess soon they'll tantalize us with TIE Fighters and Star Destroyers, too. Wait for it. 4 movies into Disney's ownership of the property and 3 of them are wanton OT nostalgia movies (jury still out on Episode VIII). I don't mind the occasional one of these... but you have the keys to the whole SW universe, thousands of years of lore and an audience hungry for stuff that pushes forward and not backwards... and all you want to do is tell OT character movies or recreate OT stories?
