IDW was asked if they ever do a TMNT and Sonic The Hedgehog Crossover

IDW was asked if we will ever see a Sonic the Hedgehog and TMNT Crossover. Considering they done many crossovers in the past. I think it would be cool to see them actually do one. But they would have to use the right version of TMNT that would fit in with Sonic.

If the Turtles don't initially think Sonic is a mutant, and if Dreadmon doesn't at the very least make a cameo, then it's a wasted opportunity. Just my two cents.

I'm onboard with it. Sonic and TMNT are my two favorite properties. So they should do a crossover. As to which TMNT they can use. FW or Rise will work.

Might've been interesting in 1993. Pointless now. All the good Sonic characters were excised when the Archie book ended, although to be fair the numerous reboots after the Penders fiasco had already pretty much ruined it.

Archie totally dropped the ball by not doing this back when TMNT and Sonic were both highly relevant AND they had the rights to both. That would have been the perfect opportunity; TMNT was on the downslope but still very popular, Sonic was near that brand's peak.

In 2020, both franchises have seen better days and very few people care about either. Why even bother? Just to say they did it? It doesn't mean anything anymore.

The idea of a TMNT/MLP crossover seems like it'd be a bit... Tonally confused.

I think FW TMNT would work with Sonic. Imagine if Krang and Eggman were to team up.

I'd be interested to see how you would make it work, but I agree the turtles would immediately need to think Sonic is a mutant and have dimensional portals involved. I will say that potentially seeing Robotnik come into conta t with '87 Shredder, Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady could be hilarious.

I'm still banking on a TMNT/Street Sharks crossover at some point in time if someone ever brings that franchise back in some form.

I know it's a bit too out-there, but a TMNT/Biker Mice from Mars crossover would be awesome as well!

That's honestly the other crossover I'd love to see! Every time I bring it up, no one seems to remember BMFM though lol. Glad I'm not the only one that feels this way!

Proof Positive that you can't always take Two Great Tastes and have 'em taste great together. Sometimes you get Reese's Cups; sometimes, you get chocolate truffles filled with mayonnaise.

Love FiM and... tolerate most of what TMNT has become. But damn, that wouldn't work at ALL.

I mean talking about full on IDW?s version of TMNT and Equestria girls I think there is some leeway. You could definitely get some leeway out of Leonardo and Sunset.

Though if you want good idea of TMNT X little girl show, the. Look no further than Ever After High. Got this one idea that deals with The Rat King and his ?granddaughter? and it gets really ****ed up. Though unlike most these girls have no problem getting their hands dirty, I remember the one time one of the girls got so mad that she literally ripped holes in the forth wall just to seal the jobberwock away.

That kind of tonal confusion wouldn't be there if it was say, something like Rise or the Fred Wolf cartoon on the tmnt side.

Even a darker version like 2012 could've incorporated the crossover idea as a part of a wacky Dream Beaver-esque sequence imo.

Like Leo basically said, the time to do it would have been when the TMNTA Archie comic and the Sonic Archie comic were both flourishing. It would have at least made sense on some level.

Actually Yes! I love both properties. and the right way to do it is to have FW TMNT be the version that crosses over with Sonic.
